Computer will not turn on. green light blinking

My HP m1080n will not turn on. The green light at the back is blinking. I've checked the power cord, outlet, etc. They're OK

Try replacing the power supply, a blinking green light usually means the power supply is missing an output voltage. If you do that and you still get a blinking green light then the motherboard will need to be replaced.

Hp desktop blinking green light won't come on


mine does that when it's in stand-by mode. I just push the power button and it comes on....

Assuming you've already tried that....push and hold the power-button down for 5 seconds and the power SHOULD go out. *IF* it does not, then disconnect the power cord in the back for 1min....then reconnect and try to boot. If it *DOES*, then do the same...unplug the power cord for 1min and reconnect and boot.

Compaq presario sr2020nx will not turn on

All of the lights on my HP1215 are blinking and the number of copies shows '8' (this is also blinking). I can't turn it off

Solution


  1. Turn off the product.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the product and from the electrical outlet.
  3. Wait 30 seconds and then plug the power cord into the back of the product and into the electrical outlet.
  4. Turn on the product.

Cause

The product has an irrecoverable hardware error.

i worked for hp and compaq it is well known issue to reslove this issue

1#turn off the computer and uplug the power cable from the computer and then hold the power button for 20 second then turn on the computer and the momment you back to desktop screen

The print carriage is stuck.

Solution

  1. Open the top access door on the printer.
  2. Remove the print cartridges.
  3. Close the print cartridge flaps after removing the print cartridges.
  4. Turn the printer off and then on again.
  5. Replace the print cartridges.
  6. Close the top access door.
If the resume light continues to blink after the print cartridges are released,

OR

the print carriage is stuck or makes a grinding noise, follow these steps.

Solution

  1. Lift the top cover to the printer.
  2. Turn the printer off and then on again.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer when the grinding noise starts. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  4. Move the print carriage towards the middle of the printer (this procedure may take a couple of tries to get the timing correct).
  5. Take out the print cartridges and close the top cover.
  6. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet. Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
  7. Open the top cover, reinstall the print cartridges, and then close the top cover
