Re: computer will not turn on. green light blinking
Try replacing the power supply, a blinking green light usually means the power supply is missing an output voltage. If you do that and you still get a blinking green light then the motherboard will need to be replaced.

It sounds like the CPU is over heating. It probably has poor ventilation. Unplug the unit and open the side panel. Carefully vacuum all the dust inside. Be careful not to damage any electronics. You can use a small brush to loosen the dust before vacuuming. Good luck!
you bringing a marginal part or connection back up a working state. when it cools or voltage drops it goes to the non working state. hp power supplies are not good to begin with. replacing it will fix it till that one also fails
mine does that when it's in stand-by mode. I just push the power button and it comes on....
Assuming you've already tried that....push and hold the power-button down for 5 seconds and the power SHOULD go out. *IF* it does not, then disconnect the power cord in the back for 1min....then reconnect and try to boot. If it *DOES*, then do the same...unplug the power cord for 1min and reconnect and boot.
The printer is waiting to receive a document to print. Choose the print command from the software program that you are using. Wait for the printer to complete the current task. OR If the printer continues to blink after several seconds, follow these steps:
Turn the printer off, and then turn it back on.
If it does not turn off, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the power source. Wait 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
Plug the power cord into the power source.
Restart the computer and the printer. Try printing again.
Make sure there is a direct connection from the printer to the computer. Remove scanners, switchboxes, and so on.
Try another cable.
Try connecting the printer to another computer. If the printer prints, then the problem was with the main computer, possibly a software or device conflict
when you power up the computer check your smps fan is running then check key bord num lock key is it on and off when u press numlock key? if it on and off then your computer is ok it should be screen resolution isssue. For that when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode then go to control panel and dispaly settings then change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok. If it not works then open cpu cover and refix RAM. also pull cmos cell from mother bord for 15 minute so all settings are reset to factory defaults. then again put cmos cell in its position then check.
