The default password is dell. You can try it if not then only dell can help you out. You have to call dell for a working key for your bios. Further these information may be useful for you

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

only way to clear a bios or HDD password on a Dell portable is to contact Dell Tech Support (800-624-9896 USA) confirm you are an authorized user then they will assist with a password reset.

I have a latitude c610 that won't boot up. Just green grass and blue sky with no icons

Has this laptop ever been hooked up with an external monitor or projector?

Try pressing the blue "Fn" key at the bottom left and the F8 key at the top of the keyboard. F8 should be labeled "CRT/LCD" or just have a little icon for a monitor.

If that helps, please be sure to rate. If it doesn't, post back and we can try something else.

Reboot the laptop, as soon as the screen goes blank start pressing the F8 key until you see a menu, select safe mode, if you get the option for the administrator, select it. Once the laptop is up go to control panel, then users, choose your login and then select reset or turn off password. Once complete logout and reboot. Hope this helps.
