check your cmos cell, power cable,smps,main power supply of home,
check that *********** bord dony=t touch the cabinet.
check your bord circuit hitting event.
remove all pci card clear dust from it.
reattach all cards and connection of pc.
clean your processor case.

Go to Windows Updates and see if there is an update their sometimes that happens with drivers. Start there Updates and install all the updates hardware updates as well. If that does not assist you there may be a fix at the Sony Vaio support drivers and download for your driver start there. I would download the driver online for the wireless software. Click Here to go to the driver site enter your model and info they request and download whatever you need from there. This should get you up and running again. I hope that this assisted you. scan your computer with a good antivirus program. and try uninstalling unwanted programs
click on start- then click on run- then type prefetch, it will open a window for you delete all files.
click on start- then click on run- then type dllcache, it will open a window for you delete all files.
click on start- then click on run- then type %temp%, it will open a window for you delete all files.
use system restore to restore your computer to a earlier time either you can use the disk that came with the computer or you could do it when you start the computer it should say press so and so buttons to enter the system recovery then use system restore to restore windows to a earlier time so it will start up and boot into windows after you do the system restore
reinstall the OS ! Just overrite it over the previouse xp so u won;t lose data ...
..most probably u are missing some files ... .. or u have virusez issues. Ofecourse there is the posibility of hardware mallfunction, but considering microsofts reputation ... probably thats not the issue ...
