Question about Fisher and Paykel Dishwashers
The F1 error means that the sensor that is located in the pan at the bottom of the machine has sensed water.
It does not want either machine to run with a leak so it will shut down the operation of both drawers.
First thing to check is if there is water under there or not. If you open the bottom drawer all the way you should be able to peek behind the back of it and see the 'floor' of the dishwasher. The sensor is near the back under a plastic cover.
If you do not see water the sensor board has failed. It is not too hard to replace but takes a bit of time and patience.
If you do see water then the hunt begins, you will have to find the source, it could be the lid seal or one of the hoses, but since the top drawer was running that would be the place to start. Let me know how far you feel comfortable in taking this and I will walk you through what I know.
