Question about Acer Aspire 5920-6335 Laptop

Windows 7, Blu Ray Disks not working

My laptop (Acer Aspire 5920G) got a blu ray DVD combo drive. I used to have Windows Vista OS. The Blu Rays were working fine then, Recently I upgrade my OS to Windows 7, Since then when I put a Blu Ray disk in, it's not detectable, Wouldn't even show the content inside. DVD & CD working fine.
Can't see any problems in Device manager. Looks like the Drivers are OK.
Any help will be appreciated...
Thanks....

Blu ray player wont play blu ray and it's up to date

I would suggest uninstalling all drivers and try running it as a generic drive and it should retain its blue ray playback abilities then i would suggest using a good program like power dvd 11

No driver Multi super DL DVD aser5738zg

What problem are you having? What error-messages?

If you are using Windows NT or 2000 or XP or Vista or Windows 7, the device-driver for CD-ROM, CD-writer, and DVD-reader/writers is _included_ in the Operating System.

If you need software to help you create/burn CD/DVD/Blu-Ray disks, see: http://WWW.MajorGeeks.com and search for "AShampoo Burning 6" -- this is _free_ software.

Blu-ray drivers for windows 7

Hi,

Windows 7 by default has blue-ray support so there is no use of the drivers. If you are playing a movie, then You need to install the codec’s for Blu-Ray. Your Blu-ray drive should have came with media containing the codec’s. You can also use your favorite search engine and search for free Blu-ray codec’s.
You can install Power DVD 9 which install a codec for Blu-ray drive.

Hope this helps you, please check out.

New year Regards.

Won't play blu-ray dvd

First of all, it will need a blu-ray DVD player. You can find an external unit that should work. Recent versions of Windows OS (XP, Vista and ver 7) will play the DVDs but only if the disc drive is Blu-Ray compatible.

I cannot play Blu Rays on my Acer (Vista) PC with

If the drive doesn't read any disc's you need to reinstall the drivers and verify you have the latest version. If the drive is ONLY having trouble with Blu-ray then i'm assuming it's the player that you're using; it may not have the right Codac's etc. Also, try multiple Blu-ray movies to verify it isn't just the one movie.

Acer Aspire 6930 won't play Blu Rays

Your DVD is not Blue Ray capable. You would need to purchase a Blue Ray DVD player for your laptop, just having the software does not allow you to read them.
