Question about Grohe Model 28 206 OOO: Ladylux Plus Deluxe Champagne shower head - Chrome
I can pull the handle off my grohe 333 but it is leaking from the base. There is another small hole at the base but it doesn't seem to accept an allen wrench. I could probably pull the cartridge . Do the leaks usually come from the cartridge or where the hose ties into to it. I can't seem to get at the spot where the hose ties into the cartridge. if I pull the cartridge will I be able to get at that spot?

SOURCE: Grohe shower assembly leaking
hiit sounds as though the diverter valve is sticking in the mid position although you have turned it to the floor spout as you call it!!
Also it sounds as though the seals are possibly leaking causing the plasterboard (drywall) to get we, or possibly a joint may be leaking. Advice access the pip-work valve etc run shower & check with torch (flashlight) to see where its coming from?
Rectification work replace seals/repair leak...replace diverter valve assembly.

SOURCE: Grohe ladylux plus is leaking
I believe there is a cartrige that has some washers in the unit. There may be some debris caught in there since it was a little loose. I would turn the water off and disassymble the unit and replace any obvious washers and clean everthing up. Replace it all and try it again. If it still leaks, contact Grohe for more trouble shooting. Faucets have fantastic warranties and companies usually will send replacement parts free of charge at times. Hope this helps.

using a pair of vice grips wrapped in a soft towel( to prevent scractching) turn the shower head in a counter clockwise direction to remove it then apply liquid teflon (real-tuf) to the threads on the shower arm and tighten the shower head but dont over tighten it liquid teflon is more effective at sealing leaks than teflon tape and it can be wiped clean

It sounds like the cartridge will need to be replaced. I would suggest you call around to some of your local plumbing supply houses and see if one stocks or has access to Grohe parts. A good parts man may be able to ID the part over the phone, but you will probably have to take the cartridge in so they can match it up. Stay away drom getting fit-all handles for it, as this is only a temporary fix. Replace the cartridge if possible. I hope this helps.

Please see the technical resource at http://www.groheamerica.com/lib/1/tpi/1311421.pdf. This.pdf has an exploded parts diagram that will assist in taking the fixture apart. It looks like the entire fixture has to be disassembled to remove the spray hose. Please let me know if I can be of any further help. Good luck.
