Question about Troy-Bilt 31cc 2-Cycle Gas Powered Blower/Vacuum #TB320BV

Troybilt TB320BV will start but will not stay running longer than a minute or so. Im assuming it's carburetion, but know very little about 2 stroke engines. Are there online diagrams or instructions available?

YES, go to your small engine store and pick up a book on two cycle engines, or go to your local library and possibly find the same book.

My mercury two stroke 50 HP carbureted motor cranks right up nd runs great at 5500 rpm for about 15 minutes then the power falls off as if I pulled the throttle back to 3500 and that's where it stays.

Have you checked to make sure the fuel bulb is staying primed.. If you are concerned it could be the carburetors, they are pretty simple.. get a qualified professional to clean and set them..Put in new spark plugs.. Check the compression...should be at least 120psi on each cylinder.
Are you getting any type of overheating buzzer?..

Shouldnt bike start with out air box assembly

Are there any valves, vacuum hoses related to or on the air box? Otherwise should not matter but if you need to hold hand over the intake to raise pressure to suck fuel out of a carbureted system need to know more about it. Did it run okay before air box was removed? Try to re-install the air box would possibly be the simplest way to find out because if it then runs okay you have your answer and if not you need to go further into the problem. Has anyone been messing with carbs, as with a carbureted system in contrast to a fuel injected system where fuel pressure would be governing and holding hand over the intake should not affect fuel delivery at all but only fuel rail pressure or injector size or pulse width would. In a carbureted system the float level is the most critical thing. and if it is not correct this could also be your problem and that would be a first thing to correct. What type of carb(s) are on the bike??? CV or otherwise??? Does the bike run at higher rpm's or just not at all unless fuel is being sprayed into the intake or intake covered??? If not at all there could be a myriad of problems. But again, poper float level is critical and should be your first carbureted system check point. Also fuel filter, pinched or otherwise restricted fuel lines etc. Does the bike have a vacuum operated fuel shutoff valve?? If so does it source its vacuum from the air box?? Could there be a massive downstream induction system air leak?? Check for that also BUT the history of the bike's running before the present problem is crucial in diagnosing. ALSO not assuming is important and I have been assuming it is a four stroke engine. If it is 2 stroke there are a myriad of different things to look at right away. SO, give some more information to get some more assistance.

Im 16, and ive never ridden a 2 stroke in my life and im thinking of getting a yz/sx 125 for trail riding. ive never been able to afford a modern 4 stroke so ive been riding a crf230 and a 1980 tt500 yam....

I would suggest a 250 2-stroke or a 4-stroke. Lots of power, lots of pull and the motor would likely last you for years. I've raced both the 125 and the 250 2-stroke at the pro-am level (A-class) and the difference in engine life is tremendous. I would re-ring a 125 every week (running 26:1), while with a 250 I could go for 2-3 months or more without doing the top end while running 32:1.

A YZ 125 will definately be a bit of maintenance - primarily because it has a single ring and the ring doesn't last long. A pro or semi-pro racer would re-ring every race (when the 2-stroke was popular) - some races I would re-ring in between motos. I know you won't be racing, but I would still imagine you would want to freshen up the top end at least every other month at the most. Granted - you can re-ring a 125 in about 45 minutes for a cost of about $18 if you know how and it costs a LOT more for a 4-stroke and is more of a job.

Other than the ring, the rest of the maintenance will be about the same between a 2-stroke and a 4-stroke. You'll still have to do your air filter every ride and your engine oil (tranny oil in a 2-stroke) every other ride. Tires, spokes, sprockets, clutches, chains, brakes - all pretty equal maintenance between the two. Lots of variables, of course.

The difference will be keeping the motor fresh and for that, the 4-stroke will beat the 125 2-stroke. Not the 250 2-stroke, though - these motors last as long or longer than the 4-stroke and are a LOT cheaper to maintain/rebuild.

This is MY experience and my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

get a can of carbeurator cleaning spray. get a helper and as one of you runs the thing, the other will give it short bursts of carb cleaning spray right into the air intake, leave the filter off while you do this.

13.5 OHV B&S won't stay running, blows gas out carb.

Sounds like you have a blown valve. I'm assuming this is a 4 stroke motor, if it was 2 stroke then it would be the reed valves. But either way it's the valves.... unfortunately that will require a mechanic :(

im not sure about the alarm but im going to assume its a door ajar alarm tilt the fridge back using the adjusters on the front wheels till you can open the doors about 1/4 let them go and it will close its self fridges are air tight and some times when you shut one door the air it pushes will slightly open the other the installation inst say level the unit but its better to have them leaned back the lights probably turn of auto if a door is ajar give that a try and let me know please
