Panasonic PT-53WX53 cinemavision HDTV keeps powering off right away
Panasonic PT-53WX53 cinemavision HDTV. Turn on, and in a few seconds it clicks off, then shows five blinks of the red power button, then nothing for a few seconds, then repeats the 5 blinking lights, etc.. When this happens, none of the buttons on the TV or remote work. Have to unplug power cord, then it will go through the same routine.

OK< likely one of the new chips are bad or when soldered in you shorted pins at that time----3 blinks is short protection and you are going to find ONE of the light blue 2.2 ohm resistors is open (usually discolored in middle).
Having changed hundreds of chips in this model once in a while you get a new one that is bad---replace both again.
How did you get at them----remove the board or pull the light box?
power light keeps flashing and the tv won't turn on. If you unplug for a
minute and hit the power button it sound like it is coming on then it
shuts off and the red power light flashes slowly. The TV is a Panisonic
1080i HDTV, about 6-7 years old.
It is the problem of your transformer. It might have got damaged in lightning or voltage fluctuation. Replace that small and cheap equipment to find your tv work again.
When having a new one, go for the best thing available in market or else the new one too will go out soon.
