Looking for a lifter rock lever plate pad for a singer 211g156

I am looking for a pad for a lifter lever plate on a 211g156

The machine is a Singer 211g156. Its an older machine and I think new parts may no longer be manufactured. The lifter lever plate is a oval shaped switch that is positioned close to the right knee when they are sitting. There is a pad that goes over the metal oval shaped lever to help when the operators accidentally hit their knee against the lever, usually when sitting down to the machine.

Bit confused here, what is the 'make' of the machine and what do you mean by 'pad'

I need to remove the bobbin basket on my Singer 211G156 my thread is caught below. I removed the two small screws on the half round plate but there is no give on bobbin basket.

If you are talking about the bobbin case and it looks like the one below, it has a flipper latch at the very front that you just hook a fingernail on and open. Shouldn't have to remove any screws. The latch is the long vertical piece with the hole in the very center.

The presser foot won't go down.

Yes indeed, it is possible--sounds to me like a screw worked itself loose. However, I would purchase the service manual for your machine. As a bonus, it tells you how to make all kinds of useful adjustments.

Go to Sewing Parts Online and do a search under Singer Service Manuals; if they don't have it in stock, call or email them and they will be happy to order it for you. Generally takes two weeks to get it in stock.

How to remove the bobbin plate?

Download the user's manual from the Singer site, www.singerco.com. It is a free download. Look on page 34, and it will show you how to remove the plate and clean underneath. There are two levers that must be set to release it.

Sounds like the linkage between the lifter and foot is caput. If you open the case, you void the warranty.

I have a 9960 singer machine and am trying to use the buttonhole presser foot for the first time and I can not get it to sew T

the buttonhole foot snaps on to the presser bar, there's a little lever at the back of the presser bar that releases the foot, then put the buttonhole foot down on the needle plate & use the presser foot lifter (number 11) to lower the presser bar down onto the buttonhole foot & you'll hear a click sound when it snaps on & make sure to use the buttonhole lever(number 31) because the machine won't sew a buttonhole unless that lever is pulled down.

Looking for bobbin case for singer 3270c I see lots that look like the one I have but none of the numbers they list match mine... Also the machine is bunching up the tread and my bobbin case is broke so...

check with these 2 websites for the part ,,

sewingpartsonline.com or sewvacdoctor.com

it's possible the bobbin case could be a problem, I have 2 sewing machine & if one of them had a broken bobbin case I would replace it

have you tried a new needle

also check the thread take up lever, if the thread comes off of it, that can jam up the machine as well, I've had that happen before

also keep under the needle plate area clean of lint or loose threads & also the bobbin area

The presser foot lifter of my Singer 9432 has disconnected

Had the same problem.
Open the cover where the light bulb is.

Follow the presser foot rod up into the machine.

You will find a metal keeper with a set screw facing the now open end of the machine.

That set screw has most likely come loose.

Since the presser foot is spring loaded to the down position leave the presser foot raising lever in the down position.

With your flat bladed screwdriver, gently push the metal keeper to it's lowest position. If it does not go easy, loosen the metal keeper set screw a bit. Lefty loosey.

Tighten the set screw on the metal keeper. Righty tighty.

Looking for the serial number on my Singer Fashion Mate 362

Lay machine back (away from you) outside the box. On the underneath of the machine itself is a metal plate facing you with the number. The plate will be in the center and is easy to read.

On my singer 9005 the pressure foot lifter does not stay in the up position - does not hold the pressure foot up.

These plastic presser bar lifters do wear out a lot ,very common,,,,,,,,You can lift it up and file as close to the machine side on top just a couple of stroke son the file will usually give it a surface to hang on and it will stay up ,much easier than changing the plastic lever
