Question about NZXT GUARDIAN (ASKU53368) Micro ATX Mid-Tower Case

1 Answer

Hi, I recently bought an NZXT Guardian and have installed all 3 fans but the LED fan on the side does not start up or light up. I have connected it to the PSU the same way as i did the front fan. Any ideas?

Can't attach 200mm fan to NZXT PHANTOM side panel...Only 2 of 3 holes match as the NTXZ fan is slightly smaller than case. Should I drill new holes or is an adapter avalible?

I would think that an adaptor is on the wish list so I would get a piece of flat aluminium or steel ( sheet) and make one to do the job rather than drill holes

I recently installed a lutron skylark dimmer w compatible gu24 bulbs on a 3 way connection. Everything works properly but the bulbs only dim slightly, is this normal or is something defective or improperly...

Are you using compact fluorescent? Are you sure you purchased a dimmer that is for incondescent lighting only? fluorescent lighting only? Fan motor control only? Are your lights led? I read on the instructions for one company that you can only use one dimmer on any one 3 way system. Did you put 2 dimmers on a 3 way system?

Side fan on the NZXT Apollo does not spin or light up, a wire that is coming from the side fan is loose but i do not know where to put it back in.

Depending on which motherboard you have installed there should be a 3-pin or 4-pin fan header connection.

Check the motherboard's documentation, there should be a diagram showing position of the connections- they will be labelled SYS_Fan or PWR_Fan.

Most fan headers possess a foolproof insertion design. When connecting a fan cable be sure to connect it in the correct orientation (the black connector wire is the ground wire)

Hope this helps you. Thanks for using FixYa

Computer STartup Problem

That is an impressive wait. You must be an OR LP to have tolerated that battery manipulation; hopefully the surgeons aren't up nights over the 3 lost insulated forceps.... It sounds as though the system is dissatisfied with the CPU fan speed or another power/cooling interface component (CPU over 90 centigrade, chipset over 95 centigrade, the power supply fan running, etc.) and thus shutting down immediately to protect itself. Do all those things check out, particularly in the BIOS power/cooling section? How about fan and power connections on your videocard being right and jumpered accommodatingly?

That is, you could connect tach fans on any spare 3-4 pin headers and see if favor comes your way. The system will spin them slowly once it boots and you enable automatic CPU/fan control (and power savings) settings.
