Except the low density the problem could be caused by removing very small stitches before transmitting to machine because they cannot be accepted by it. It happens if the design was not properly resized or converted many times into different formats etc. You can use Design->Optimize function for removing small stitches before sending design to machine in order to examine its quality.

Elna 2005 I don't have the manual. Which setting is for the stretch stitch?

A special stretch stitch is not required to sew stretchy fabric. All one needs is a zig-zag that is wide enough and close together enough to allow the fabric to stretch without breaking the stitching thread. (Test it on a piece of scrap fabric you are using, give it a good tug and see if the thread breaks.)

NOTE: be sure to use a ball-point needle. A sharp needle will tend to cut the fabric threads and your stretch fabric will eventually develop holes and runs commonly found in knits.

There doesn't appear to be a manual for your machine, however, you can usually find a manual close to your machine model and the instructions will be similar enough to suffice. Perhaps you will find one with instructions for sewing stretch fabric:

I'm using Empisal Dressmaker 270D sewing machine. My problem is. When I sew the underneath cotton is loose

Usually, if the thread is bunching or looping under the fabric, the upper tension is too loose.. But if the bobbin thread is showing on the top of the fabric, the upper tension is too tight.

The tension is correct when both the upper and lower threads meet in the middle of the fabric.

I have a 5150 model and i am making cushion covers, but my machine is not sewing it does goes though the materal but showes no stitches.what can i do?

try using a larger needle if your needle isn't large enough for the material you are using the needle may go thru but the thread wont go thru far enough to catch. The needle may be the correct size but just not sharp enough, the thicker the fabric the faster your needle will dull and a dull neele never works correctly

Thread problems

Try unthreading the top of the machine and with the presser foot up (the one you put the fabric under) Use a piece of regular size yarn about 1 foot long and go around your top tension like you would with your thread and floss it back and forth then pulling the yarn in your left hand up so that the other one is short but not out, drop the foot down and pull the short end until the yarn comes right out. Re thread the machine with your thread again with the foot up and try it on a scrap piece of fabric first. Sometimes you need to do it a few times.

Bobbin thread tangling up

are you doing embroidery? if so turn off jump stitch cutting if possible. is the machine threaded correctly (pull needle thread out of machine and thread again with presser foot raised.

check for foreign matter in needle tension assembly. ensure there is sufficient needle thread tension.

the thread you see caught up underneath the fabric will be needle thread and indicates insufficient needle thread tension or something preventing the needle thread from being pulled up into the fabric (maybe a damaged bobbin case, or bobbin case position finger, or damaged needle plate hole).

I have a Kenmore 19606, I have never own a machine that does embroidery stitches, the pattern of the stitches shows on the wrong side of the fabric not the right side. Is this suppose to happen? If not how...

Not sure if you are doing embroidery w /a hoop and all, which I don't do but I have lots of decorative stiches . Ytp lacing some tear away interfacing below the fabric you are going to sew. Most stitches come out top to bottom. Say I have an alligator option. Image will be about 1 1/2 inch , Try it on a piece of scrap fabric to start. I used muslin and the tear away bnacking to stabilize the design on lettering and patters. Also use good thread. I like Guttermans. Coat and Clark / Sulky are very fine and snag and tear easily. Good luck. Keep trying. The design you sew will show on both sides , so if you do not want that you will have to add another level of fabric to the backside after completing the design. Hope that makes sense.
