If the dryer is constantly screeching it could either be the belt (if it's stretched) which would be slipping from not grabbing the drum tightly or the drum bearings could be going bad. I would start with the replacing the belt as you do not need to pull the drum out for that, for the bearings you do because they are screwed into the back of the drum.

I have a Frigidaire Gallery dryer model gler341as2 that squeels cer loud at times. what kind of grease do I use on the back shaft and tensioner?

That is a Hi Temp grease. It is sold under a Frigidaire part number
#5303307893. If any of the parts at that back ball assembly are worn, it should be replaced. Don't try buying the parts separately, they sell a complete back bearing kit that sells much cheaper than if you purchased each part. The kit also comes with the HI temp grease inside. Here is the kit # 5303281153. Includes that trailer hitch looking ball and the socket it fits into. Also look at the drum front edge. Should be a plastic bearing strip all the way around the drum opening that just snaps in place. Its in 2 section. If broken or missing replace those also. Thats the front bearing surface..

Can a track tensioners on a excavator seize as i can pump grease in and the nipple is fine ( not blocked)

If you are pumping grease in, the idler should be extending and the track should be getting tighter. If the piston is seized, you should not be able to pump grease into it UNLESS THE SEAL IS BLOWN in which case you can pump all day and the track won't get any tighter. The fix on a blown track adjuster seal requires removing the track to allow the idler and slack adjuster to be removed. Then unbolt the slack adjuster piston assembly and take it to your local heavy duty hydraulic shop for a rebuild.
This is HEAVY work. Take your time, think safety first, and ask for help if you need it. Keep in touch. I've done enough of these that it;s not scarey. What machine are you working on?

SCREECHING DRYER

DRYER MAKES NOISES.

The pulleys or rollers. Check for cracks, dryness, or damage and not engaging drum properly. Sometimes u can use high density gear grease to re oil/grease them.

The bearings TEST by moving drum by hand u may be able to feel loose or rough movement. And listen to sounds when turning it.

The belt loose or worn can make funny noises

The glides on drum worn and making metal to metal contact.

CHECK FOR LOOSE BELLOES inside the drum

I have a Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher with model # GLDB958JB0 and it started to make a screeching noise only after a few mins into the wash cycle. I took out the filter and made sure there was noting...

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

The problem is with the impeller or the chopper assembly that is causing this screeching noise. You can take apart the bottom front access panel and clean the drain pump assembly completely and check for any broken parts inside that need replacement. If the problem returns then replacing the impeller/drain pump-motor assembly is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

The fan clutch or belt to it, is making a screeching noise and then stops after a few minutes. We've tried everything to get it to stop. What lshould we do?

The bearings in the fan clutch, or idler pulley may be going out, which would create extra resistance. This would cause the belt to squeal until everything is moving like it should. Try to lube the bearings, and put some belt stop squeal spray on the belt ridges. If this doesn't help, take the belt off and find which pulley is causing the extra resistance.

The kneading paddle won;

I have found it necessary to periodically remove the shaft from the pans of breadmakers and clean off the carbon that is "coked" grease. I polish the shaft with crocus cloth and clean out the bearing. Often one has to remove a "C" clip to dis-assemble the shaft from the pan.

After cleaning I relube it with FOODSAFE grease before re-assembly.

I have a Frigidaire Gallery Stackable that has a screechy dryer

Sounds like it is worn out. Get a parts diagram and take it apart and see what parts are missing or worn out. The belt is probably coming apart and that is the black stuff. There are several plastic wear plates and a bearing/bushing for the drum, plus the belt idler and all these can wear out. The motor could also have a bad bushing in it but more than likely that will require a new motor as they don't usually sell just the bushing or end caps.

My frigidaire dryer squeaks

Spray some good lubricant on the tires and belt idler. Solves the issue 95 % of the time. If not ,try a funnel attached to a piese of garden hose to pinpoint the source.
