It starts into spin but shuts off after the inicator reaches 6.

    there is an error code that comes up which is e47-43. Does that help thanks

Start the machine and immediatly press the "Start" and "Pause/cancel" button at the same time. Then you will get and ERROR code. Look on the cheat sheet packed with the machine to find out what is really wrong. That will give you the real answer.

    The error
    code
    is E43-47 - Board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin.



    The diagnosis manual suggests either a defective door lock assembly, or a
    defective control board.

    If you are handy in working with the electrical parts of the machine then perform the test of measuring the resistance of the PTC (1525 Ohms) which indicates the door lock assembly is ok.If it didnot show up then order a new control board (P/N 134732004) and install it.

Maytag neptune frot load will not reach full spin speed.
It will not spin while washing, it's more of a rocking back and forth. As far as the spin cycle. If it's not reaching full speed I bet you'll notice that it's not doing the full cycle because the load is bouncing around and cause the washer to shut off. take some of the clothes out and watch it spin the water out.

My HE3 washer, about 4 yrs old is locked , showed error code 6
Here are the steps to unlocking the door manually if clothes are still in the machine.
1.Unplug machine
2.remove bottom panel
3.Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the botttom of the door latch assembly
4.Located on the bottom of the door latch assembly is a tear dropped shaped tab
5. Gently pull down on the tab about a 1/4 inch or until a click is heard.
6. You may now open the door.

This code means the control is unable to properly detect motor speed. Due to this the machine shut itself down.
