Monitor has got no icons because it has no memory of itself. All the icons are stored in the hard disk itself which only CPU has. So, I think you can remove then by simply uninstalling the program from control panel> programs and features or simply by deleting the icon by it will not remove the whole software from your hard disk as icons on desktop are only shortcuts.
Ok, I have to make assumptions here. Your old monitor and old hard drive went out at the same time? If this is the case then the problem is that the new hard drive has nothing on it. The manufacturer should have given you or sold you a set of recovery CD's. You'll need these to replace the NTFS partition and the operating system. Good luck
This can be easily fixed. When you are on the Internet, From the Menu at the top Go to Tools Then Options Then Contents Check the box which says "load images automatically" Click ok When you come back to the page Just refresh it. All the images and icons will be there. Hope this will help you. If it helped you, please give a rating luciana44
It's seems your graphic card is defective. Try another monitor, if it still has the same problems... Then replaced a new graphic card. If it not, make sure all the cables are seccured tight or changed a new cables. Have fun!
