Go to control panel and click on network and internet connections inside that up corner there will be create new connections go to that and do what computer says. sometimes it will work.

Got a hub genius GH4080SE and trying to connect computers, pls advise what is the steps?


Hardware Setup

1 Find the WAN or uplink port of the Ethernet hub. Typically, it is located on the rear of the unit, and it is often separate from the LAN ports.

2 Connect an Ethernet cable from the WAN port of the hub to either the Ethernet port of the internet modem or, if expanding a network, to an empty LAN port on the existing network’s router, switch or hub.

3 Plug an Ethernet cable into one of the LAN ports on the Ethernet hub and connect the other end of cable to the computer or device that will be added to the network. Repeat for any other devices that will need to be on the network.

4 Power up the Ethernet hub and the computers or other devices attached to it. On the front of the hub will be a series of LEDs that correspond to each LAN and WAN port on the hub. Every port that has a cable plugged into it should have one or more of the LEDs lit that represent that port. If not, check the connections and swap out the Ethernet cable if necessary.
Software Setup

1 Configure the network settings on each connected computer. If you are expanding a network and the network uses DCHP, or dynamic IP addressing, no configuration will be necessary. On networks using static IP addressing or on a new network setup using the Ethernet hub, each computer or device must be assigned a unique IP address. Local IP addresses must use the allowed “private” address pools that will not interfere with internet addresses. Acceptable addresses include 192.168.x.x, 172.16.x.x to 172.31.x.x, or 10.x.x.x. The “x” represents a number that is chosen by the user, from 0 to 254. All computers on the network should share the first three numbers in the address, with the final number representing the individual computer. In a network with three computers, for example, the first could be 192.168.1.1, the second could be 192.168.1.2 and the third could be 192.168.1.3, though the final number does not need to be sequential.

2 Click the “Start” button in Windows, select “Control Panel" and double-click the icon labeled “Network Connections.”

3 Right-click the icon for the Ethernet adapter and select “Properties.” Click on the check box marked “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” and press the “Properties” button.

4 Select the radio button labeled “Use the following IP address.” Enter a unique IP address for the computer and the applicable subnet mask. If a router is used on the network, enter the router’s IP address as the default gateway. Press the “OK” button and reboot if necessary.

5 Enable file and printer sharing from the “Properties” dialog for the Ethernet card if files will be transferred between the networked computers.

6 Click the “Start” button, select “Control Panel” and double-click on the “System” icon. Select the “Computer Name” tab and click on the button labeled “Change” to set the computer’s network name. In the “Computer Name” box, enter a unique name for the computer. In the “Member of” section, choose the radio button marked “Workgroup” and enter the workgroup of the network. If setting up a new network, this name can be change but all computers on the network must share the same workgroup name.

7 Verify that all computers can access the network and the Internet if connected.

Cannot get on the internet ,network adaptor is not working


First you want to make sure that you network adapter is truly not working and if not what part of it isn’t working.

First we need to check some settings. Open the start menu and then network connections, then show all connections. Some computers have been configured with out this option set, so to get to the open the “My Network Places” the on the right hand panel click “View Network Connections”. Insure that the network adapter that you use to connect to the Internet is enabled. If it is then we will move on, if not then double click the icon and it should enable the adapter (check to see if you can connect to the Internet).

Moving on, open the start menu and click the run button. In the box, type cmd.exe and hit enter. At the command prompt we will enter some commands to find out where the problem is. First type “ipconfig” and hit enter. If your IP address (the first IP address listed) is ok (anything not starting with 69) then that part is working on and we will have to move on. Next type “ping 127.0.0.1” and hit enter. This tests your operating system to see if it’s working. If you get a response then the problem isn’t your OS. If you get an error then we will need to trouble shoot that later. Now type “ping” then your IP address; this tests your network card to see if it’s working correctly. If you don’t get an error then you network card is working. The last command will test your network, type “ping” then your default gateways IP address. If you don’t get any errors then your problem might be with the network configurations in your router or you ISP.

If your IP address starts with 69 the there is something wrong with the way your computer is getting its IP address from your network. One easy way to fix that is to force it to accept a different on. In the “view my network connection” box, right click on the network adapter icon the properties. In the center box, scroll down to the internet protocol (TCP/IP) and highlight it the click the properties button. In the following box select the “use the following IP address” button. In the IP address area type “192.168.0.1” then hit tab and enter “255.255.255.0” the click ok. Now go back to the previous box and click the “obtain an IP address automatically” and click ok. Now try to connect and see what happens.

If you received an error from your ping test (127.0.0.1) then you need to reinstall the TCP/IP stack. To do that, all you need to do is highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click uninstall. Then click the install button, locate the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click install. Try to connect and see what happens.

If you received an error from your ping test (your IP address) then you can assume that your network card is bad and should buy a new Network Interface Card (NIC) at your local computer store. To install it, turn off your computer and you remove the screws (or push a button on the back of the computer depending on you computer). If you’re looking at the back panel it should be on the left side. The card should snap into place and install automatically. You should install any drivers that came with the hardware to make sure it operates properly.

If you got an error from your ping test to the “default gateway” then you network hardware is having problems. Try unplugging everything plug it back in. You need to make sure that you plug the modem in first and insure that all the lights turn green before you plug your router back in. If that doesn’t work you will need to replace your network hardware.

The last thing that it could be is your firewall. For that you may need to contact the manufacture to get proper configuration information.

Can;t use intent on mobile


Here is what you should do step by step:

I.Configure your Computer
1.Install Bluetooth Adapter
2. Bluetooth Configuration->Local Services-> Add Serial Services ->Bluetooth Serial Port->Properties
Check – Startup Automatically
Check – Secure Connection
COM Port: COMx( mine is COM6)
3.Control Panel -> Phone and Modem Options->Modems->Add-> Check Don’t detect my modem->Next->(Standard Modem Types)->Communication cable between two computers->Next-> on witch port do you want to install it ? -> Selected ports -> COMx ( in my case COM6)->Next->Finished
Now in phone and modem options->Modems you should have : Communications cable between two computers : Attached to : COMx ( COM6 my case)
Select Communications cable between two computers -> Properties->Modem-> Maximum Port Speed : 115200 -> ok ->ok.
4.Control Panel ->Network Connections ->Create a new connection-> Next->Set up an advanced Connection-> Next-> Accept incoming connections->Next-> Check : Communications cable between two computers ->Next-> Check: Do not allow virtual private connections->next->next->select: Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)->Properties:
Network access : Check Allow callers to access my local area network
TCP/IP address assignment : Specify TCP/IP addresses:
From: 192.168.0.x ( x=50 in my case)
To: 192.168.0.y (y=52 in my case) 
->OK->Next->Finish
5.Network Connections
Bluetooth Network -> Enable
Internet Connection ( your internet connection ) -> properties->Advanced->Check:Allow other network users to connect trought this computer’s Internet Connection->OK
If all goes well : Bluetooth Network-> Properties-> Internet Protocol ( TCP/IP)->Properties Should have the following setting:
Checked Use the followind IP address:
IP address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
->OK.
6.Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services->Routing and remote access->Properties->General: Startup type : Automatic - this service MUST be started 
**7.Install AnalogX Proxy http://www.analogx.com:80/files/proxyi.exe (for the latest version)
Proxy->Configure-> Proxy Binding: 192.168.0.x ( for me x=50 )->ok. 
! If you use a proxy, remember to start it .

II. Configure Phone:

Options->2box Bluetooth->Serial Port

Now you can browse the internet from your phone.

NOTE: First Configure the phone and your pc without the ** settings, and if you can’t browse the Internet form your phone then use the ** settings.
