Lamp light on picture off

The kids were watching TV and the picture went off.  The double red lights flashing indicate bulb problem so I bought a new bulb.  Replaced bulb and still no picture and red lights are on.  I found this small fuse on the circuit board which looks black rather than being clear but thered is no info on it and Optoma says they don't sell it.  Any idea what size it might be and where to get on

I can not get the Optoma RD50 to power up. Start up goes like this: Hit power button, green light blinks for long time, ultimately power indicator light turns red and also lamp indicator light goes red. I replaced the lamp a few days ago. Problem appeared to be solved after replacement, but now has reappeared.

I too have the same problem, replaced the bulb and the TV worked, then started doing the same thing again. Is unplugging it the only way to reset the internals? Or is there a manual way to do this?

You might try unplugging the set for maybe 20 mins. to see if that might help in resetting the internals. Good luck!

It sounds like the lamp has failed. It is advisable to use a genuine Sony lamp. The part number for is XL-5200. It will cost around 180.00. That should fix you problem. If you cannot find the lamp local to you can order it form Sony at.

Flashing Green Power on light not picture

Last Saturday evening, I experienced the exact same behavior on my Panasonic PT-52LCX65; it shut itself off without warning. I turned it back on, and it shut itself back off after about a minute, and the red "Lamp" LED on the TV began blinking.

I never got any warning message that the lamp was about to go out, but I've just replaced the lamp and now the TV is working just fine. We had to mail-order the new lamp, because neither H. H. Gregg (where I bought the TV on "Black Friday" 3 years ago), Fry's Electronics, nor Best Buy carries the part locally.

My wife found the new bulb WITH its holding apparatus for something like $120 online, roughly half what other sites were charging. We paid roughly $55 for UPS Next Day Air. The first bulb that was sent arrived broken (some UPS rep apparently thought "Fragile" meant "Shake and Drop"), but the company we ordered from cheerfully rushed us another one, and the second one was in much better shape. (Panasonic doesn't pack these replacement bulbs very well; there's a heavy bulb with a lot of air around it that Panasonic doesn't fill.)

More details available if anyone wants 'em. Hope this helps. -- ChuckE

No Picture - Lamp Indicator Blinking

This may be the main power supply, or the lamp supply. This is providing that the new lamp is okay.

The service tech will swap out the modules to service the set.

Depending on what light is flashing it could be a few things. If the Lamp light (the middle one) is flashing that is problem with or around the lamp. That orange or amber light is an indication that the lamp is reaching the end of its life

If it is the Temperature light (the far right one) then the TV is shutting down because it is over heating and you need to check the cooling fan.

Won't turn on.. Operation indicator is red, Lamp indicator is flashing red??

According to the E44W48LCD service manual, the temperature indicator red light states the projection TV shut down due to overheating. Red (flashing) states the projection TV shut down, check the cooling fan.
