If I were you I'd run some hardware tests. Get testing software from your HDD manufacturer and download & run Memtest - http://www.memtest.org/

Let us know what you get :)

Believe it or not, this sounds like a memory problem. Anytime you see an error of a page fault in a non-paged area, teh first thing to look for is memory issues. Can you move the memory stick(s) around? Try that first. Microsoft does not handle memory errors in certain areas very well. Sometimes moving the physical sticks around can place the bad memory cell into a less critical area that can be handled better.

I have a Dell mini netbook Inspiron 910 when I turn the pc on it says a disk read error occurred press ctrl+Alt+Del to restart when I do that the same thing keeps coming up what do I do ???? Please help

It sounds like your hard drive has failed.
Make sure that you have removed all removable media like diskettes, CD, DVD, or flash drives from the machine to confirm. If after removing these items you continue to receive this error, then most likely the hard drive has failed.
Take the notebook in to a service center to have the hard drive replaced and the operating system installed.
Hopefully you have a backup of your data, since it is all most likely lost.

Dell mini inspiron 910. On boot " a disk read error occurred press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart " when I do that the same message appears please help me.

I think you have a hard disk error.
Use your recovery disk, or better still Windows Installation disc, and start the boot up using the menu to select "repair system". That will save you the trouble of having to reinstall all of your software and settings.
If it won't work, a format of drive C will fix your errors but you will have to restore all of your dadt.
Hope this helps.

As soon as computer is turned on the message bootmgr is missing press ctrl alt del to restart

There are a number of possible causes for BOOTMGR errors, including the most common "BOOTMGR is missing" error message.

The most common reasons for BOOTMGR errors include corrupt and misconfigured files, hard drive and operating system upgrade issues, corrupt hard drive sectors, an outdated BIOS, and damaged or loose IDE cables.

i strongly suggest formatting your hard disk drive, and reinstalling the recovery CDs

if you dont have them, get Dell to send them to you -- it will cost you money

hi there, a disk read error doesn't sound like a CD drive to me. It sounds like a hard drive failure to me. My advice is to take out the hard disk and take it to a person that knows about hard drives.

A disk read error occurred. the comp. said press ctrl+alt+del

The computer cannot find the operating system, the disk error message means it cannot find the hard disk, you most likely have a faulty hard disk or less likely a faulty disk controller.

You can test the hard disk by removing it and connecting it to a USB hard drive adapter and plug it into a working computer's USB port. If this computer cannot detect this drive as an external drive then you will know your hard drive is faulty ad you need to buy a new one and install Windows and programs etc..
