Question about Samsung SyncMaster 150MP Monitor

1 Answer

Rhythmic clicking sound when the monitor is on

I have a very fast rhythmic click coming from the speakers when the monitor is on PC or TV mode. Muting the speaker does not silence it.

I just recently posted about this and you might have the same issue with the TDA7268 Audio Amp chip used in the 150MP that I am and currently trying to resolve.

There is no sound coming out from my viewsonic VX1962wm monitor.

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver also
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable)
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
hope this helps

Scratching clicking noise coming from speakers

maybe you bumped a wire going from computer to speakers.
Are you using the speakers built in the samsung?
try another pair of speakers that are connected to the monitor.

Hannstar HN199DP Monitor power button just blinks on wont come on

I've noticed this problem as well with mine. I noticed it does it mainly when the unit is cold, like less than 70 degrees F. A quick fix is to warm the unit by whatever means you possess. If the blinking is rhythmic, that may be the unit trying to communicate a problem, so check your connections, change the cords, clean any dust from the ducts.

No sound when on pc mode

Check if your PC can play audio on some other speakers or headphone. If yes, check your monitor audio cable connections. If no something's wrong with your PC audio drivers. Try re-installing them or could be a hardware issue with your PC. Get it checked.

Clicking sound

I found the problem.

I've written up a small article on my website detailing the fix but in summary here:

Electrolytic Capacitors C826 and C835 go bad because of the heat stress applied by the audio amplifier right below them. Replacing those capacitors fixed my 150MP.
