Should I replace compressor in refrigerator

Im having the same problem! Every 2 weeks we had to power off the fridge and defrost the freezer, once we did that it was like brand new, cooled the botton fridge beautifly. Now we have to defrost every week. Its really irritating and dont know why we gotta defrost the freezer all the time to have the fridge cool down. We had a 3 month warranty and ofcourse it started to get messed up after the 2 months were up. Are you having the same problem?

About once a month the freezer has to be manually defrosted for it to work effectively.

The problem is most likely the=> 12868513 Electronic Control Board 3_11_2013_2_22_16_pm.jpg
and it could be the 12729128 Heating Element or the defrost thermostat=> W10165425 Defrost Thermostat

Here is a link to a=> GB2FHDXWB Parts Manual and a User Manual HERE The 12868513 Electronic Control Board can be found on page 6 of the parts manual and the 12729128 Heating Element and the W10165425 Defrost Thermostat can be found on page 9 I will be here to tell you how to check out or install these parts if you like, Let me know Thanks Sea Breeze

Refrigerator gets warm inside about once a month because the coils inside the freezer section get covered in thick ice and has to be defrosted .

Your defrost cycle is not working right. If you have a mechanical defrost timer then replace that and the defrost bimetal in the freezer. They are both cheap. If your refrig has a control board then you have to replace that instead, because that is what controls the defrost in an electronic defrost. Either way always replace the bimetal thermostat in the freezer. It is cheap insurance
