Hi i have a samsung plasma tv Model:pn51e530a3f what do i do if i have no power goin to the console yet i have just installed a new power control board. No vs or va readings r present

You might of bought a board that you don't need. This is what you do. Remove the power cord. Disconnect the cable that connects the power board to the main board from the main board. Also disconnect the cable that the connects the main board and the logic board from the main board. Now you want to jump pin 1 to pin 3 on the cable that goes to the power board. Look at the logic board. Do you see a set of pins on the board 1-4 or 1-6? You want to jump the 2 highest pins togeather. After you have done this, plug in the ac cord. Do you get colored patterns? If you do, replace tha main board. If you do not, check your VA and VS voltage while the set is running. More than likely you VS is missing. That tells you that your Y sus, Upper or Lower Y buffer or panel is shorted. I hope this helps.

My Ge gsl25jftabs will not cool. I replaced the overload start relay and mother board. Compressor still will not start. What should I try next, the thermistor and temp sensor?

Hello Katie;

My name is Peter; I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

Start with the source. The Compressor. You need a multi-meter.

Remove the overload relay. On the compressor are 3 steel pins. With your meter set on the lowest Ohms (Omega Symbol), Put one meter lead on one pin and the other meter lead on the other pin. Mark down your reading. Take readings between the three pins and record them. You will get one high reading and two lower readings. Add the two lower readings together. If the compressor is good that number should equal the higher reading within a few tenths.

Next, I would have checked the thermostat. This is mounted on the top of your evaporator (Cooling) coil. This component tells the compressor when to turn on. It is difficult to determine if it is bad.
At times the thermostat will explode and the back of it will raise up. In this case you know it is bad. The other way you must cut it off, leave some wire length so you can rewire in back in, put it in a glass of ice water for about 10 minutes. Take a Ohm reading on the two leads. You should get about 16 Ohms. Be careful, the fins on the coil are razor sharp.
Then, I would have gone to the control board. I do not know if the control board you put in is good. You received it in a anti-static silver bag. Before you touch it you need to ground your self by touching bare steel. Static electricity will knock out a board.

The TV was unpluged for one hour. Once pluge in the blinking green light started. Now it doesn't turn on.

For starters..Your convergence board is my first concern. If you can pull the board out, do so with great care. There are many, many bad grounds here by now. I can not say this enough. The convergence IC has been separated from the board. Examine the pins and resolder as necessary. Do not over solder, you do not want to solder the pins together or you will create a short. This goes for any IC with pins you resolder. Check the diode connections, resistor connections, jumper pin connections,connections where cables jump together between boards, capacitor grounds. If you can, check all electrolytic capacitors with an ESR meter, and replace capacitors as needed. Heat sinks will need resoldered tightly to the boards. Start with this and see what happens. There is much to do, with the one board. The next board will be the power supply, and you will have to repeat the effort just mentioned. But, try the first plan and see what happens.

Failed to unlock HDD System Locked

What you need to do is unplug pc, open up the door panel to your pc and remomo cell battery from mother board then find the jump pins on the mother board they look just like the one in back of the hard drive. The jump pins are connected with a jumper similar to the pins jumper that sets up your hard drive to master, cable select, or slave. You need to reset the mother board the way you do that is by removing that pin jumper and replacing the cell baterry then the pin jumper. If done correctly you will reset your motherboard password setting and bios allowing you to boot your operating system. If you need help google your pc manufacture and model number and search mother board jump pins. Or email me with your pc info to , and I will try to help you find it. Motherboard won't fire up processor fan starts then stops. new power supply, new CPU. No change. Home built computer. Stripped memory, circuit boards,drives except floppy. Reset cmos. No change.

even though its new could still be bad processor, power supply, or the motherboard its self.try to jump it without the power connected. should be pin 4 and 6. double check that though in your manual.jump it with a wire but dont touch any other pins or you will fry the MB.

How to force defrost on goodman cple39-1a

That is not the case for Goodman defrost boards. You have to first jump the R and DFT on the board to give 24v to the DFT, then take your factory jumper, on 30 from factory, and jump the test pins, as soon as you hear the board click, remove the jumper from the test pins. It is suppose to stay there a max of 10 mins or until you remove the 24v from the DFT terminal. 3 things should occur, 1-fan relay opens stopping fan, 24v is applied to W2 and O. I work at Goodman.
