How do I update my wireless mouse?

try updating the mouse drivers. Go to the Verbatim manufacturer website, search your model of mouse and download the latest driver. To update drivers on windows go Control panel>device manager>mice/input device then right click your mouse and update driver software. If the mouse continues to play up even though it works on other computers then the mouse is probably incompatible with your operating system.

Acer Laptop Help

To get started with this product, complete the following steps.
Turn the laptop on by pressing the Power button located above the keyboard.
Locate the touchpad.
You use the touchpad much like you would use a mouse.
The touchpad controls your cursor.
It responds as you move your finger across its surface.
Move your finger across the touchpad to move the cursor.

Locate the bar below the touchpad.
This bar may be used for selecting and has left and right-click functions that you can use a mouse.
Clicking on the right end of the bar has the same effect as right-clicking with a mouse.
Clicking on the left end of the bar has the same effect as left-clicking with a mouse.
Tapping the touchpad is the same as clicking the left end of the bar.

Use the keyboard like you would use a desktop keyboard.
The only difference is that the keyboard of an Acer laptop is smaller than a regular laptop keyboard.
Click on the Windows icon in the lower left side of the screen to access programs.
Make sure your wireless switch is turned on, if you want to access the Internet.
Then locate a wireless network.
Windows may automatically detect and display a list of available networks.
If that happens, you only have to select the network you wish to access.
If it is not your network, you may need a password if it is security-enabled.
If Windows does not automatically detect a network, open Internet Explorer, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to a wireless network.

How to ouse the mouse?

The mouse is used by people to navigate around the operating system like Windows.

There are a number of buttons on the mouse, Left Click, Right Click, Scroll Wheel and Wheel Click.

Your index finger operates the Left Click and you middle finger operates the Right Click and Scroll Wheel.

The mouse, when moved in turn moves whats known as a cursor on the screen, it's that arrow.

Think of the cursor as your pointing finger.

Hope that helps!

Non responding wireless mouse and keyboard

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like the mouse itself is faulty, if the right button when depressed returns to position and you hear the familiar click, and you don"t hear that from the left button, then the mouse itself is faulty, ask Dell to send another mouse, it should be on warranttee with your new computer.

Mouse cursor moving by itself

In windows xp go into start menu, then into control panel then click on appearance and themes, then move your mouse over to mouse pointers click on it , uncheck "enhance pointer precision, and click apply, that will stop the mouse from acting crazy, this will work with dell mouse pointers and most.
