Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
PLEASE tell me that there IS a washing machine, made like the good old days of my childhood, where they bragged about the Flo-Thru Filter?!?!
It was great! As the clothes washed, the water recirculated back up to the top, and spilled out into a strainer at the top of the agitator! At the end of the cycle, there was a great lint-ball...or hairball, easily scoop-uppable...and the clothes were free of hair! So the ''filter'' was just a strainer...no fancy ''filter'' needing replacement every so often!
PLEASE tell me there's a GREAT system like that out there...and not one that relies on removing parts to get to a filter, etc. Supposedly, these were discontinued as cost-saving measures...but it certainly costs more for filters, and rolled tape to remove the hair! I'm at my wit's end!
If you want suggested answers you have to provide make, model and type of washer ( top/or front load )
if it is a westinghouse , simpson, hoover or like make top loader , there is a lint catcher bag at the end of the center spindle cover that you simply pull up and unclip and turn inside out to clean
Soe put the detergent in that cover for the washing

Hi Viral, The lint filter is in the door. It should just lift out. Or cut & paste this link for instruction manual for your machines. http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/Use%20and%20Care%20Guide%20-%203406876.pdf Regards

Fisher & Paykel washers do not have lint filters inside the tubs as they are designed to drain away any debris from the wash during the drain cycle.

My washer did not come with the Lint Filter. I contacted Haier Customer Service and sent them all the info they requested such as copy of receipt and etc. That was several weeks ago and Haier still says that they have yet to receive that letter. Or they say that due to high volume of warranty letters they receive, they have yet to process it. Anyways, I got fed up with the customer service or lack of, I started surfing the web for the lint filter and found the above site. The filter is very inexpensive and I got it in several days.

Power off the mains. The
filter is located behind the silver plate at the back of the machine at
bottom. Four screws hold it on. Drain
out all the water. The filter is inside
the big black rubber hose attached between the pump and the main drum.
the plastic clip holding it to the pump unit and then the metal cir clip
holding it to the main drum. Inside is a white molded cone and a big
which floats. You will find a lot of junk here, clean out thoroughly. To
put white cone back inside just as you found it, at the bottom, fit ball
into the cone. Attach to the bottom to the drum and re-fasten the cir
Finally reconnect the gator to the pump unit and tighten the plastic
clip. Check out the pump too before reconnecting.
And rate me nice pl for the free help!
