What is the proper spark plug gap setting for a 2002 Kia Rio

It depends on the plug that you use. Some are Pre-Gapped.

The manufacturer's specifications for motor oil in your 2002 Kia Rio is "API - SG or SH Energy Conserving II, SAE 10W-30" This information is covered in your owner's manual.

There is no best,you install what the manufacturer recommends

Check your owners manual and under the hood you may find the plug # on the
emission label as well as the plug setting (gap)

Any brand as long as it is the correct heat range and OE Configuration,not some
4 prong over advertised parts

did you properly gap the spark plugs?? Gap the plugs properly!! If the problem still exist, check all plug wires for looseness or breakage and replace all (recommended). These issues will cause your vehicle to misfire/sputter!!

The gap is .044"
