SOURCE: Inputing scientific notation into my calculator

Hello,

1. To convert a number to scientific equation, use [2nd][Sci]

Exemples 12345 [=] screen shows 12345 Then [2nd][Sci] coverts it to 1.2345 ^04 to the power 4.

2. To enter directly a number in scientific notation (e.g. -1.2345 X10^(-65) a very small number) you use the [EE] key 1.2345[+ /-][EE][+/-]65 shows as -1.2345 -65

1.6X10^(-19) 1.6[EE][+/-]19 shows as 1.6 -19

Hope it helps

Some people do not care much about the packaging and throw it. From what I know about these calculators, in North America they ship in a clam shell (plastic wrap) and not a box. I do not believe it proves anything. Unless you have a written document with a serial number. But these calculators do not have a serial number. **Go buy yourself a calculator and take better care of it.**

Assuming the floor is rectangular, the perimeter is 918 and the area is 50318. The ratio of these two numbers is 459:25159.

Unless you are meaning something more specific, ratios are calculated through simple division. For example if there are 2 oranges and 4 apples, the ratio of oranges to apples is 2:4, and the ratio of oranges to the total number of pieces of fruit is 2:6. These ratios can also be expressed in fraction form: there are 2/4 as many oranges as apples, and 2/6 of the pieces of fruit are oranges. If necessary you can perform the calculation 2/4 = 2 therefore there are .5 (half) as many oranges as apples and 2/6 = 0.33333333333333 therefore approximately .333 pieces of fruit are oranges.

On your calculator you should simply need to use the division button to accomplish this.

Get the Plus. It adds a few functions, takes nothing away, and is the same price at most vendors.

Well, the calculator has a limited display screen. **If a result exceeds the display capabilities of the calculator it is displayed in scientific notation.** If the number is larger than 69 the calculator is not able to calculate its factorial.

If you are using some of the combination and permutation functions it is better to use the keys dedicated to them nPr, and nCr.

If it is still under warranty (a year, I think), call up TI Customer Support (1-800-TI-CARES (800-842-2737) or try 972-917-8324). When my calculator broke, they let me send it back for a free replacement.
