Melissa, you should mention the Computer Model and the operating system that you are using.
If you have Windows XP computer then simply turn off the computer and when you restart it and see the Dell logo press and hold down the CTRL and F11 buttons at the same time. Keep them held down for about 10 seconds. You will get a screen saying Restore Computer or Reboot. Press Restore and on the next page Press Confirm, your computer will go back to the factory settings just like you bought it new within 10 mins. Incase you don't get the Restore option in the first go, don't get upset, just try it few time and it will work. You can also try holding down the CTRL button while tapping the F11 button simultaneously.
If you have Windows Vista then restart the system and when you see the Dell logo tap the F8 button slowly and softly for about 7 to 10 times.
You will get a menu and the first option in the menu is Repair your Computer, press enter on it and then next screen will come up in few minutes asking for your keyboard layout, simply choose United States English and click next, it will ask you to select your username and put in the password. If you dont have a password just select the username and then click ok or next. On the next page, just click next and then you will get a menu , select the last option saying Dell Factory Image Restore. A windows will open up. Just click on next and whatever option you get to proceed furthur and your computer will go back to the new condition in 15 mins.
