SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet: gray plastic agitator poece inside drum broke off

here's the part number for the replacement 8182233, thinking it may come as a 3 pack , if they're not broken no need to replace. but the new one will simply slide in and with a click forward lock into place. they also come shipped with a screw to secure. in order to install screw you'll need to remove the top of the washer(3 screws across the back of the top assy and slides back and off. then you'll see the top of the tub area, a small black hose will run from the white box to the left to directly top of the tub assy. remove ethe hose from the tub and spin the inner drum to the correct position, they screw hole will line up through the opening, re-secure the hose to the tub and your in!

SOURCE: Washer drum shakes excessively during fast spin

y shaped piece that contains the spindle that attatches to the basket and allows it to spin is corroded and cracking. you can't buy just the spindle bracket, you must buy the basket too. you'll be buying the front part of the drum too, if you wait to long.

It appears your vibration damper has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

You could have something between tubs or in the pump. This video shows how to get into the machine. Take a look at the springs and the skate plate.

My Midea washer spins violently in spin cycle. Please help!

It sounds like there may be an issue with the balance of your washer. When a washer is out of balance, it can spin violently and cause the machine to reset. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Make sure the washer is level: Use a spirit level to check if the washer is level. If it is not, adjust the legs until it is.
  2. Distribute the load evenly: Make sure the load inside the washer is distributed evenly. This will help to keep the washer balanced during the spin cycle.
  3. Check for foreign objects: Make sure there are no foreign objects in the drum or the drum's seal, which may cause the washer to vibrate.
  4. Check the suspension: Inspect the suspension system, which supports the drum and keeps it in balance. If the suspension is damaged or worn out, it will need to be replaced.
If the problem persists, it's best to contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for further assistance.

Whirlpool design 2000 is imbalanced eery load - moves around violently, makes pounding noises.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You need to check the suspension of the washer and make sure everything is intact. Now, if the washer is thumping during spinning, this is probably the motor drive or the spin bearing. This would cause a lot of noise. Your washer will act up if it is not balanced right. Check the floor and make sure it is level. If that checks out, look into the motor drive and bearings. The motor drive controls the spinning.

During the spin cycle basket vibrates very badly - very rough

I had a similar problem. During the final high spin and there was POW and the drum went funky eating into the plastic. I opened the back of the washer and look things over,.The belt for spinning was intact. I set the washer on a drain/spin option and watched from the front and back. While watching the pulley on the drum and could tell there was a hiccup as it went around. I pulled the pulley off and put on a new pulley. The new pulley was going in a perfect circle to spin the drum. It's not a hard repair, just need a little muscle to loosen the nut holding the pulley on and the same muscle to tighten the nut as much as possible. Hope this helps.

Kenmore he2 washer shakes violently

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

I had this problem as well. I called dealer and Maytag. They made an appointment and stood me up several times.
I finally went to place that sells refrigeration equipment and bought an anti-vibration pad. It's a 12" square waffle pad used under large equipment to prevent them from vibrating loose on connected piping. I cut it into 4 pieces and put one under each corner of the dryer. Problem solved, in fact it worked so well that I stacked dryer over washer, placed pads between units and have not had a problem since. I also gained a lot of space in my laundry room as well.

Samsung P801 Front Loader shakes violently during spin cycle.

When the washer goes into spin cycle it is suppost to start at a slow speed and continue to increase speed (to a maximum of 800 RPM) as the water leaves the clothes. Your washer is going directly to 800 RPM which causes the washer to shake and stop giving you the E4 code. The control board that controls this speed increase must be replaced.

Whirlpool Duet HT GHW9200LW

I had a bad "clanking" sound during the spin cycle on my
GHW9200LW so I took the back panel off and found that the H2o shield for the drive motor had worked itself loose. I removed Poly-V belt and removed one bolt and motor comes out easily. I found one of the 3 screws that attaches the shield on the floor of the washing machine cabinet. I reinstalled all 3 screws and reinstalled motor and belt. Noise fixed.
