As long as you have a wireless network, you go to settings on your ipod and then click on Wi-Fi select your
home wifi network and then put in your wifi network password and you
will be able to connect.
But prior to this you will have to charge it via your supplied usb cable and also update your ipod to the latest updates via itunes.
