Question about Solis Master 5000 Espresso Machine

1 Answer

Water problem When I run the machine to make an espresso the water does not enter the coffee block, I can hear the faint sound of a motor for a few seconds and then it stops and turns on the warning light. On the other hand, the frother still works.

I'm having the same problem with my Solis Master 5000. The brew cycle starts but stops prematurely. The red light comes on indicating to check the tray/beans/water. No water comes out of the espresso spout, instead the grinds in the waster tray are soaking wet.

Same problem. I turn it on, the motor runs a bit, then stops and the red light comes on. I can get steam, but can no run the cleaning cycle. Already cleaned out the brewing group, cleaned filters per instructions, etc.

    Sure would appreciate any ideas.

    Hi,
After running an anti-calcium fluid through the machine, many times it started working. Unlike comment from sgt11 our grinds were coming out completely dry. So it seems to just have been a bad calcium buildup. We had bought the machine second hand and didn't realize that it had so much build up.

Thanks for the help. Good luck to all...

With me this problems happens for a long time about every 25 cups on average. So for sure it is not due to calcium as otherwise it would be a permanent problem. The electronic part was replaced without any effect. I suspect a bad contact somewhere or a mechanical defect in the device that lets the water go through.

Try adjusting the grind a little finer and/or adjust the quantity dial. sometimes if there is too much dosage of coffee into the brewer, it will reject that brew because it is too much of a stain on the motor and is a fail safe to protect it in the software.

the red light coming on is to indicate no flow of water. to clear this if it still flashes, purge water (not steam) from the wand until it clears. can also try turning m/c on and off to reset too,

While making coffee , water begins to flow underneath, making coffee is interrupted , the device enters in the auto test mode and soon displays error code 06. What to do to fix the problem?

It's not a job for the faint hearted on one of those machines. The 2 places most likely to be leaking are the barista seal on the bottom of the boiler or the distributor which is a motor driven tap that sends the water from a single pump to do various functions. There are also various hoses in there that are under high pressure and can fail in an instant. I have just read the error codes and it seems that the barista seal is going to be the LEAST likely cause of the leak but I would replace it during the process if you are going to have that area close to being apart.

Machine says needs priming. Water light stays on but no water comes out when opening valve. No water for coffee either. Water pump broken?

hi,
can you hear a quite louder noise when trying to make water flow?
If no or very faint noise can be heard, pump is probably faulty or needs to be disassembled and cleaned (see tutos on the Net)
If you can hear a loud noise, the pump is working but unable to suck water, keep on trying, if still unsuccessfull you will have to open the machine and fill yourself the watel inlet tube to "help" the pump priming.

Hope that thelps

I have an incanto sirius espresso maker and cannot get the screen to come on. As soon as I plug it in the boiler overheats (too hot to touch within 10 seconds. Could this be the overall failure I am h

Sounds as though there is no water reaching the boiler. Does the pump run when the machine is first turned on? Is there a water filter in the feed line from the water tank that may be blocked?

If the pump is not running at all, it would pay to check if there is voltage reaching the pump motor (BE CAREFUL! Only do this if you know exactly what you're doing)

If the pump is running OK, the water filter is not blocked and all the hoses are in their correct positions and not kinked or detached, then the only really likely thing left is that the boiler is blocked with scale, stopping water from entering the chamber

My Saeco Classico has problem. The pump is working

It sound as though the boiler is blocked by scale. May also be the coffee filter that's blocked. I am not familiar with this machine, but assuming that it's just a manual espresso machine, try running it with the filter handle removed. Any water emerging? If so, the coffee filter cup and/or filter handle outlets may be blocked. If there is only a small flow the boiler is almost certainly blocked with scale and descaling may cure the problem (do the first run with the filter handle off the machine. Next run with it on)

My Saeco Magic Deluxe machine just stopped grinding. Everything else seems to be working just fine. I'm assuming it's mechanical and something simply broke but want to ask first and if something broke...

Does it sound like it is trying to grind or is it silent? Listen carefully after pressing the coffee button. If it is silent then the motor has most likely died or the thermal fuse on the motor has blown due to motor overload and overheating.
If you can hear a faint humming, then the grinder may just be blocked (or the dosing chamber located between grinder and brew unit (above brew unit) may be blocked). First try backing off the grind to the coarsest setting. Even if you can't hear the motor, it is worth backing off the grind anyway (easy to do) as you may be lucky. To clear doser, remove brew unit and look up. You shold see a curved trap door like thing that you can swing up to release or poke out stuck ground coffee.
If the machine instantly makes that 'tuka tuka' sound after hitting the coffee button (like it does when it is dumping the coffee after grinding) then the flap or micro switch in the dosing chamber is stuck. Move the dose (grind quantity) adjustment lever back and forth a few times.
If these suggestions don't help then take it to an authorised or expert repairer.

Water not pumping into coffee maker

Sounds like a bad pump...I would contact Keurig Customer Service if your machine is still under warranty -- they will probably send a replacement.

Hi, Our Gaggia machine will not disburse water through coffee dispenser. Sounds like its operating normally till water flow should happen. Then the motor slows down to nothing. Have descaled to no effect....

Try this press the button for ground coffee then when it lights up press the coffee brew button, if water flows normally then the grind on the grinder needs to be adjusted coarser, if no water then the screen on the brew unit is blocked.
