Question about Bosch 24 in. SHE44C02UC / SHE44C06UC / SHE44C07UC Built-in Dishwasher

Our Bosch is 3 years old. I always use the Quick

Our Bosch is 3 years old. I always use the Quick Wash cycle(39-40 minutes) & get excellent results . Now however, it stays at 1 minute for 8-10 minutes & then restarts the same cycle. At 1 minute, I opened it, & it was full of suds & water & the water was just lukewarm. Usually it is hot & steamy. I turned up our water heater, tried Bosch again but still got the same results. Do you have any idea of the problem? Thank You, Mary

Hi, What you're seeing when it display's the "1" is actually an error indicating a fault with the heater circuit. Likely if you select just a rinse cycle it will complete fine since the rinse cycle doesn't call for heat from the element/control. sooo... Based on your description I'd say the issue is with the control. Bosch has had a history of this exact problem I'm about to lay out for you and this is the first thing I'd be looking for if called out to service the unit with the symptoms you've described. ( unless you requested a resolder option...see below re: my opinion on this ) I digress, As I've alluded to the issue is within the electronic timer/control, specifically the heater relay solder joint. ( a faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable ). My first suggestion would be calling in an authorized bosch servicer if that is an option for you and your budget however, If you cannot afford that option or feel capable of checking this on your own, there`s a way to visually inspect the control yourself. It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board. This will be one of the pins from the heater relay, hence the unit sit`s and takes forever to finish and eventually display's the "1" error because it can`t heat to advance or unless the 2 buttons for "cancel" are pressed. **My Opinion - if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...but it has to be done well...half assed will not last, although Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on there behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)** **Please disconnect the power before attempting any service to the dishwasher. If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau, to service your machine.** Hope this answer`s your question, let me know if I can assist you further. Thank`s for visiting "fixya" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness. Good luck. macmarkus :)

Bosch dishwasher actual runtime versus indicated runtime.

The usual discrepancies with run times is due to water heating time.
For example, your dishwasher may be estimating run time + time to heat the water from cold.
If your dishwasher is connected to hot water instead of cold, it will skip the majority of the heat cycle and adjust the time accordingly.
On the other hand for other people, their dishwasher brands may say "50 minute wash" but this does not take into account heating time, so wash can be anything up to around 70-80 minutes.

When I press the start button, Bosch dishwasher (model SHY56A 05UC) just keep running the motor pumping the water out of dishwasher, irrespective of: 1) the wash cycle it is on, 2) whether the door is...

what is happenig i believe and has happened to me 2 times is that the water level float that is on the left side of dishwasher is stuck.

Either remove side panel and flick lever or pull dishwasher out and tap lower portion of panel and this will cause the level to move and then see hat happens

After the wash cycle dishwasher beeps

Hello, welcome to FixYa. While I don't have access to my PC files at the moment as I am on my iphone, I believe this is the procedure for most B/S/H/ built dishwashers ( that means Bosch, Thermador, Siemens and Gaggenau ). To Enable or Disable the Cycle Completion Signal... 1. Open the door, hold down the ?Quick Wash? button and simultaneously turn the Dishwasher on. The ?Quick Wash? light will blink (program mode). 2. While the light is still blinking, push the ?Quick Wash? button. ? If the machine beeps, then the Cycle Completion Signal has been enabled. ? When you push the button again and it doesn?t beep, it means that the Cycle Completion Signal has been disabled. 3. Turn the Dishwasher off to take it out of program mode. I hope this answer's your question. Thank you for choosing "fixya". Please rate the solution favorably if indeed it was helpful, if not please let me know. Good luck. macmarkus :)
