Possibly. But if it was completely bad the compressor would'nt do a thing. If you have a hard start cap. for a small appliance try that it's cheaper than replacing the switch just to find out your compressor is low on charge or bad all together. With a low charge the compressor will heat up and trip a thermal limiter. I believe your fridge is a sealed unit meaning a freon recharge is not really an option. If a hard start works, thenI would replace the switch.
