Remove the side coverto get to reel Remove any broken cord. Turn reecounter clockwise till it nestops then slowly let turn back till the hole li nes up then use a c clamp to hold the reel. Feed the cord through hole about 3 to 4 inches and tie a double knot in cord. Release c clamp very slowly to take up cord. Measure old cord if possible and subtract about 1 half inch cut it and thread it through the handle. replace the side cover.

Ebay will probably be your best bet. Search for "Poulon 445 chain cover".

Fuel lines have deteriorated and need to replace

I just took mine to a local Poulon Repair shop about 16 miles away and they replaced the lines and the grommet and only charged $6. You can find someone in your area through the Poulon website:

I own a Bernina 1260 and am having a problem adjusting my bottom thread (it has loops in it). I have tried adjusting the tension but I still cannot get a perfect bottom stitch.

Hello

You would pull out several long lengths of matching thread from my spool of thread and knot the threads together at one end (to hold them together). Grab the knotted end of threads with your left hand and place the threads(held taunt together) under the presserfoot of your sewing machine.

Select a narrow zigzag stitch that will zigzag over the threads, and holding both the knotted end(Left hand) and the other ends with right hand( holding tauntly), zigzag down the length of the threads.

You can use this for matching button loops, cording for belt loops, or whenever you need matching cord. The thickness of the cord will depend on how many strands of thread you want to use. You insert the loop of cord into the seam, so that when the garment is turned RIGHT SIDE OUT, the loop will be sticking out of the seam and you can put the button through the loop.

Need to attach starter pull cord on a poulon leaf blower BVM200VS

I had the same problem. I opened up the blower by removing all the Allen screws, 4 mm wrench.
Then pull the motor, need a Torx T-25wrench. You then need to wind up the recoil which is part of the case on the motor side. Wind it up all the way and then put a screw in the slot that is in the recoil.
Thread the cord through the tube through the triangular hole in the white disc. Type a big not that won't slip through the hole. Pull the screw that is holding against the spring.
Remount the motor, wiggling it until it slips into place. Make sure it ratchets.
Reassemble and you shold be good to go. Only took me 3 attempts to get it right.

My Poulon Pro 17 will not start; it has new fuel lines, new spark plug, new filter, and clean fuel. What have I overlooked?

Got spark? Take the plug out but leave it connected to the plug wire, touch some part of the threads to the metal near the hole in the engine for the plug, turn it over a few times either with the pull cord or with a starter, and see if you get spark, if not, could be ign. coil module, bad plug wire, or bad wiring to the ign. coil module.

Poulon-Pro leaf blower manual

If you know your model number (i.e EVB160 etc) you can use this link:

http://www.poulanpro.com/node4043.aspx

enter your model number and download it.

If you do not know your model number
click on products same link, then click on blowers (not snow throwers) find your model then go back to the users manual download.

Thanks for using fixya.

Weed eater Feather Lite Blower - replacing pull cord -can't figure out how to get to it

This should help you out. Go to Poulon's website. Look for a tab to "order parts". Model is fl1500. That will take you to a page that you can look at the blower "chassis" to order parts. That shows you how the bottom housing goes together. You have to take off the bottom housing, the blower fan, the top housing. That should take you to the starter cord mechanism.

Good luck.

I hve a Poulon wildthing and I am geting no spark . It is about 4 yrs. old and I cut about 2 cords of wood a year. This year it started . then quit, to start no more. Now it refuses to start.... no spark....

You don't provide a model number. Wildthings come in various engine sizes and configurations. Given your description it is almost certainly a bad coil, but might also be a defective switch or interconnecting wiring. Try this first: It tests all parts.

You may need to use a jumper wire between the threaded part of the plug and the cooling fins. You don’t have to bend up the electrode.
Still no spark, coil is bad. You can find an IPL (Exploded Parts List) for your saw here: (LE is code for Wildthing)

The dash number of your serial number is the type.
The one I chose 1 at random follows:

Having hard time with new poulon 18" chainsaw starting.

Since you have good spark and good gas the only things left to check are the air filter and the carbeurator. If the air filter is dirty, replace it. While you are at the auto parts store also pick up a can of a gasoline additive called seafoam which will keep your carb. clean. Finally get a can of spray carb. cleaner and put a couple short squirts directly into the air intake which is right there when you remove the air filter.
