I have 4 yesrs old 80 GB samsung harddisk . from last few days i was facing an issue with that ....... i have windows xp as an operating system when i start the system after geting windows logo system getting restsrt again ....... am not able to boot my system ..so i tried to format my c drive (in which os is installed ) but after getting the option install a fresh windows install when i press enter a blue screen comes up and shows some mess like a fatal error detected
i m unable to select which drive i have to format.........then i tried to conect this hard disk on another system as a secondary but it was not detected there...........
any buddy have some idea abt that. i have very imp. data in that
When you connect the drive on another machine make sure the jumber setting are either connected correctly as a slave or if using cable select option make sure the jumpers are correct and its on the first slot for the slave.
i am saying so because if it is detected on your computer, thats is why it allow you to load XP up to where you get stuck.
If you cannot manage to get it connected as a slve on the other machine, try connecting it as a single drive on that machine and load XP on it, if it manage to load then transfer it back to your machine when it start rebooting so that it will reboot after copynig files on your original machine.
If it then cannot continue loading on your machine, we will then be certain that the problem is not with your hard drive but just a hardware conflict on your computer, Try that before we pick it fro there.

If you recently made any hardware upgrades check that the hardware is fully compatible with your machine.If nothing like that has been done, reboot the pc in safe mode by pressing F5. Some machines are F8. Check your programs and features for any newly installed software or updates. Remove any conflicting software or updates and restart the pc normally.
So many computer face this blue screen fetal errors on windows.
This error comes usually when there is problem in software or driver compatibility issue with hardware or operating system. Also this error comes when there is bed indexing unit in hard drive. You can solve this errors with following 2 methods. (1)When you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode. Then if you are able to enter in safe mode then uninstall driver or software which you installed recently and face this error. (2)If you are not able to enter in safe mode Then you need to fix error on hard drive.For that you need windows disk or recovery disk. Boot your computer with that disk For that when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 "del" key to enter in bios. Then go to boot menu and set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom. Then save settings and exit bios. Insert windows disk in cd /dvd rom. Then it boot with that disk.Then you get this message "Press any key to boot from cd.." Then press any key. Then follow the procedure then enter in recovery console mode then type in prompt "chkdsk /r" Then type "y" Then it fix error on hard drive. Then check if again you are not able to enter in windows then boot again and this time choose "R" option for repair previous windows " then it repairs old windows then it loads again old windows. for that you need recovery disk or windows xp bootable disk. For that put that disk in rom.Then when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "del" key to enter in bios . Then go to boot option set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom then save settings and exit. Then it boot with disk then follow the procedure then enter in recovery console then type in prompt "chkdsk /r" then press "y" then it recovers error on harddisk. Then check. If still face same issue then you have to choose repair option so it fix windows. This blue error comes when there is issue in bed indexing in harddisk. Let me know if you need more assistance. Delete all partition of harddisk and create partition again . Then boot with disk. Try this 2-4 times you done it. If after 5 times still face issue then change winxp disk. Let me know if you need more assistanse. Thanks.
