LG Dishwasher...IE error code problem

Machine fills with water, then error code IE comes on and filling stops. When power is shut off and cycle restarted, the machine first pumps out the water from bottom of machine, then begins to fill again until error code IE comes on again. It appears to me that the water level is quite high in the bottom of machine...."lapping at the door". Is it possible that the error code IE is responding to the machine not shutting off the fill cycle? There is no problem with the water filling the machine, but it does not transition to the next part of the cycle....the pumping cycle, before the error code comes on and stops the cycle. Thanks for any help you can offer to narrow down the possible problem. I can fix it if I can figure out what the problem is.

machine does not go into wash cycle. machine stops filling OR, ERROR CODE IE comes on and then machine stops filling.

I disassembled tank and cleaned water level float, tank, and seems to work. Assuming it is functional....what would be next step?

after your machine fills it goes into the wash cycle. Is it going into a wash or do you immediatly get the ie error after the machine fills ? check the float switch first this if defective would cause your water to be coming into the machine and going past the fill level which would also turn the drain pump on the pumping out cycle would be after your dishwasher had went into a wash

yes...machine fills, then IE error code comes on preventing machine from going into wash mode. Float assembly appears to indicate appropriate water level and visual inspection.

What else would cause that IE error code to come on?

Using the test mode shows that the wash cycle does work.

SOURCE: LG LDF6810 Dishwasher Starts filling with water then pumps water

Because you are not getting an error message, I agree that the controller card is malfunctioning. Almost everthing else would triger an error.
Recommend replacing the controller card.

LG dishwasher LD1419W2 which would not fill -error code IE. I replaced the inlet hose complete. Now it has the error code FE and the water overflows onto the floor when in wash cycle. Peter

Try resetting by:
turn off dishwasher
trip circuit breaker to remove all power to unit
wait 30 seconds
restore power
start dishwasher
the drain pump should start and drain all water then start a cycle. Good luck

My LG has an ie error that persists even when the valves and inlets have been checked, the machine shuts down while filling with wate. Had the machine less than 3 years, how do I fix this?

it could be the heating element, if the heating element is damaged the pcb will cut the power. as its detected a fault. the element has a resistance if it goes up or down in resistance the pcb detects this as a fault. you can test this by removing the wire to the heater element, it will fill up with water then but when it comes to heating water it will shut of as a fault. and show a code.

An IE code comes on my washing machine and when this happens it does not go through the final rinse cycle

Error code of "IE" signifies a water inlet error.

This means that your machine is not filling to the proper water level, and may be fixed by ensuring that machine's water supply is properly connected and turned on. Also, this means that the washer has not filled with water in 8 minutes.

Hope helps.

Hi I have an LG LD - 14AW23 dishwasher. It shows an IE error (no water) but it fills, stops and then gives the error message. What's thye problem? Many thanks, John

Error code IE on LG dishwasher means Inlet error. This error comes up when the Water Supply Tap is closed or Water Supply is shut off. If water supply is turned on then make sure that the Inlet Hose is not kinked and water Pressure is not low (should be above 10 psi). Next thing to check for is Water Inlet Valve, measure the electric resistance of Inlet Valve. (950-1300 ohms) Make sure the filter of Inlet Valve is not clogged.

Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

We have an LG lds5811ww dishwasher with IE error

check for voltage at the water valve when it should be filling Try disconnecting the Water Valve outlet from the DishWasher and run the output into a bucket if all is well with the valve then remove the door panel and inspect the wires near the bottom of the door. the wires get buried in the tar like insulation causing the wires to break as the door is opened and closed. That tar like substance is one of the worst things they could of ever put into that machine causes the wires to break apart adn become brittle

LG dishwasher error code E1

E1 is a code that the dishwasher displays after detecting a leak. There is a sensor on the pan at the very bottom of the unit. Take the bottom front panel off, look under the unit at the hose coming off the pump and your fill line to be sure no water is dripping. Run the unit in a wash cycle while doing this if possible.

I am getting an IE error on my control panel. It seems to start ok but once it starts to fill with water the IE error comes up and the machine shuts off. How can I fix this?

You do not list the manufacturer and model number, but it sounds like you own an LG dishwasher.

The IE error indicates that the water is not entering the dishwasher or it is entering too slowly / with little pressure. It is important to check the water inlet pipe (hot water connection under the sink) all the way to the dishwasher. Check for any kinks/blockages after you confirm that the valve at the sink is fully open.

Please report back here with what you find. If you still have problems, there are other things to check, including the solenoid valve just past the connection of the water inlet.

Miele G 7856 Commercial Dishwasher

Hi. The above machine stops mid cycle and drain/fill light is on, also error code F3E, have cleaned both hot and cold water inlet filters, also checked drain pump and drain line, all ok. Machine drains with no issues and fills with hot water, runs for a while then shuts down.
Any ideas?
