In-door water dispenser not working. tried lowering temp in frig to thaw line. Worked, but now line seems frozen again. ice in icemaker holder seems to be thawing and freezer is accumulating frost/frozen water drips. Cleaned out once, thawed line, water worked. Defrost the freezer completely. Make sure the doors are sealed completely when shut. After defrosting plug back in and make sure the fan and the self defroster is functioning (your owner's manual should tell you how to reset the defrost timer). the problem may lay within the defrost system, and/or door seals and/or interior circulating fan.

Will not dispense ice or water, beeps when lever is pushed, no interior light in frig part. both frig and freezer work, freezer light works

Your inlet tube that goes to the icemaker may be frozen. To Check: Shut off water supply to Fridge, disconnect the water line that goes to the icemaker at top back. Use a flexible item to insert in the water line connection. I used a zip tie. If the flexible item won't all the through to the ice maker, the line is frozen. Thaw out the tube from inside the freezer with a hair dryer. Re-connect everything, you now have ice . . . Solution #2: You may have to replace your "Water Inlet Valve" located at bottom right rear of Fridge. Easy to do, just follow the color codes, be sure and shut off the water.

Water dispensor stoppedworking

If the light and ice dispenser on the front panel works and If your fridge is 4 years old or older, the insulation in the freezer door has most likely deteriorated and the water in the tube feeding the water dispenser has probably frozen. Open the freezer door, put a blanket over the food to keep it from defrosting, and use a blow dryer to defrost the door. Blow the hot air on the flat panel inside the door (the backside of the water dispenser). Close the door about every 5 minutes to check to see if the water works. Once the water begins to flow, you have successfully defrosted the ice in the tube. Defrosting the door works for about 12 hours until it freezes again. To solve this problem, I placed a 10" weedeater line up thorugh the dispenser nozzle leaving about 1/8 of an inch sticking out. When the line freezes again, pull out the weedeater line, dispense water to free the ice, and then reinsert the weadeater line. I keep the line in all the time...it works great! If the light or ice dispenser do not work, the problem may be *********** board.

I have a Maytag RSW2400 Frig. I just replaced the Dual Water Valve kit.(12001415 kit) I have water going up the the back of the frig. but not into it.I tried to blow air through it but it seems to be...

Most likely reason water not dispensing out door 1) You can turn up the temp in the freezer to see if it thaws in a couple of days, 2) Turn on the dispenser light and leave it on, will thaw the line and keep it thawed, 3) the water tank is frozen in the fresh food side (you can defrost with a blow drier) 6) the fill valve went bad or plugged ( power to fill valve but not opening) ($50) 7) Micro switch went bad in the dispenser for the water side 8) Door switch bad 9) Install a heater kit to thaw the line and it will keep it thawed ($35) PN#1381601 10) You can replace the whole door if insulation gone bad in door ( $500 to $800) 11) a broken wire to the fill valve ( no power to fill valve ) 12) with GE refrigerator bad dispenser boards or control boards ($400 and $150) 13) plugged, faulty or incorrectly installed water filter let me know more about you problem and I can help..

Ice continues to be made, about a week ago, the part that turns the ice to crush it or dispense it doesn't work, it also takes about 2 minutes when water is activated before it will finally dispense, all...

Open the door and hold the door switch down and try the ice dispenser. Do you hear any thing. Take all the ice out of the bin and try. Anything? Take the bin out and try. Anything? The motor is behind the back cover where the bin sits. See if you get power to it using a voltmeter. If your are, probably bad motor. If not dispenser switch.

You have a solenoid switch which switches the dispenser back and forth from crushed to cube. It could be stuck or not working or the parts connecting it could be disconnected or broken. You will have to observe to see if any parts are moving and if any noise is coming from the solenoid

You have two points where you can check the dispenser water. At the rear where the water supply comes in is the water inlet valve. If you disconnect the dispenser water line and then see how fast the water comes out when you try the dispenser. If it's slow here there is a valve our water supply problem. If it's normal, disconnect it at the bottom of the freezer door and try again. It it's normal here it may be frozen in the door. If this is the case open the door till it thaws. A blanket over the opening will prevent thawing of all the food.

Ge side by side dispenses ice but not water. water button clicks but does not humm I would like to know how long it takes to thaw a frozen line to the water dispenser?

Remove lower grill and disconnect the water line going through the freezer door hinge. Usually it is a push lock fitting, which requires you to push the ring on the end of the fitting toward the center of the fitting while pulling (not hard) on the plastic tube. Now place a pan under the separated plastic hose and try the water dispenser. If water comes out, your problem is a frozen water line in the freezer door. A warmer freezer temp may help, or you can order and install a WR49X101073 water tube heater. (the heater may take 24 hours to thaw the line, but I have used it successfully several times. Cost about $50) If no water comes out the separated tube when you try to dispense water, reconnect the tube at the hinge by pushing the plastic line back into the fitting. Now, at the back of the refrig., disconnect the water line going from the water valve to the fresh foods compartment. Try to dispense water. No water at valve outlet = bad valve. Water dispensed from valve now = frozen water filter or water line at back bottom of fresh foods compartment. (make sure you disconnect the right tube. If in doubt, disconnect them both, just get them back correctly so your icemaker continues to work) Send me additional comments if needed. Don't rate before you try all the steps.

Water line to water dispenser is freezing up inside the freezer

Try using an hairdryer or defrosting the unit completely , this often get rid of blockage caused by frozen lines fixing the problem.

The water lines can also be unblocked from dirt using a thin flexible shaft. This after defrosting.

If all that does not fix the problem, then you may need to replace the water valve, the icemaker solenoid, or the whole icemaker assembly.

Water in door will not work

I need to know the make and model # to more accurately help you. First and foremost, you will need to thaw your holding tank with a steamer...do NOT use heat gun or hair dryers. The problem could be one of several but I would start by checking the solenoid that supplies the dispenser to see if it is burned out. It is usually located in the back lower part of frig where the water inlet line hooks to. There are usually 2 solenoids.... the ice maker and the dispenser. Unplug the frig before testing these. The resistance across the ice maker and dispenser are usually the same. If the dispenser solenoid is "open" on the ohm meter then the whole water supply valve needs replaced. Another problem with some units where the dispenser is on the FREEZER side...the lines behind the door will freeze. I've seen this with LG's and GE's. They make a special heater modification for units notorious for this latter problem.

Hello, If you can see the water line inside the freezer case you might try using a hair blow dryer to try to thaw it out to get water flowing again? Good Luck! Dr. Know

No water dispensing to the icemaker. Water does dispense through the door dispenser. KitchenAid ksbs25fkbl00

Unplug your refrigerator and leave the freezer door open for 2 hours (The food in the freezer will only partially thaw).

The line supplying the water to the ice maker has frozen...this will un-thaw it.
