Can you please clarify this

  1. Do you keys not respond at all
  2. Do you get numbers when you want letters or otherwise letters to numbers
  3. Or does it respond only in one mode numbers only or letters only
My suggestions
  1. If its situation 1 then try reastarting your machine, and unblocking the num lock and vice versa
  2. If its situation 2 just try unblocking num and blocking back by turning on or off the num lock, its just num lock or FN + Num lock in some PC
  3. If its situation 3 just restart your computer.

Fn+num lk not working

There is no standard meaning to any Fn +Fx key combinations. It depends on the manufacturer and the laptop model.
Usually the Fn key works in combination with the Function (Fn) keys F1-F12, and maybe ESC.

In my Toshiba, there is an overlaid numeric pad that can be activated by pressing Fn +F11. Once the sequence is pressed the F11 key led remains lit, and the overlay active. Pressing the F11 key restores the normal keyboard. Fn+Num Lock does not do anything.
Please check you laptop's manual to familiarize yourself with the uses of the Fn key on YOUR computer.

My numeral key are not working[123456789 right side of key bord]

Step 1:
On some laptops it may be difficult to locate and activate the "Num Lock" key. Depending on the laptop, it may be hidden as a function where you have to press two keys. Most of the time, a laptop keyboard is just like a full desktop computer keyboard and it has a "Num Lock" key on it. Most people do not realize the "Num Lock" key is on their laptop keyboard because it barely serves a purpose without a full numeric keypad.

Press the "Num Lock" key on the laptop at the top, right of the keyboard. Press the "Num Lock" key and the "Fn" key simultaneously if the above does not work. Press "Fn" and "F11" simultaneously on the keyboard to activate the "Num Lock" function. Some laptops, like Toshiba, do have a "Num Lock" key. The shortcut for G3 Mac laptops it is "F5," and on G4 Mac laptops it is "F6."

For some reason the number lock is on my keyboard - i can*t figure out howto unlock it. i have to keep the fn key down in order to type the letters on the right hand side. how do i unlock/ thanks in...

Please follow the below instruction to fix your problem.
Press 2 keys at the same time: "FN" (next to the CTRL key, lower-left of the keyboard) and "num lk", which is the upper-right of the keyboard (it is on the same key as "scroll", and is next to "F12"). This will either turn on or turn off the "Num Lock" function. Both the "FN" and "num lk" are enclosed in a small rectangle. They are easy to see.
Hope the above information will be helpful to you. Thank you. Have a good day.

Certain keys not working

If its the keys toward the right side of the keyboard and they are typing numbers instead of letters, you just need to turn off num lock.
You can do this by pressing your num lock button (might be Fn + numlock) or by plugging in a USB keyboard and pressing numlock. You can also use the on screen keyboard to change the setting in windows.
Please leave feedback if this was helpful, or reply with more specific details about the issue (brand, model, version of Windows, etc). Thanks!

HP G60-235DX keyboard not working at all

Try to press Fn + Num Lock or Fn + Scrl lock to check if they keyboard will respond. If it doesnt. try to turn off the computer, remove the cables and battery, press/hold the power button for 8 secs. Reinsert cables and battery then turn on the pc. Press again Fn + Num Lock or Fn + Scrl lock. If the keyboard still did not respond, go to the device manager . Click Start > right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager . Then click the (+) on Keyboards, right click the device and uninstall it. Then, go back to the device manager and right click Keyboard then click Scan for hardware changes. Then press FN + Num Lock or Fn + Scrl lock. If symptom persists, call HP to replace your keyboard.

Hello, Think Pad Keys don't show the right character when pressed. For example I press the letter O and I get a 3 out of it. Same when I press the 9 I get a B... What could have caused something so crazy...

Hello,
Is there any function key that is lit (probably the F11.) You activated a combination of the Fn and a function key. If I guessed right (I have a Toshiba, not a ThinkPad) Fn +F11. Press Fn+F11 again, and the problem (?) will be solved.
Hope it helps.

Num lock activated and can't turn it off

One of your Function keys (F11, F12, etc., usually F11) will also have the NumLock function on them. So when you hold Fn and press F11, it will toggle the Number Lock. Try holding Fn and press F11, this should turn it off (and back on should you ever want to use it again). Your keyboard should be labeled with the various functions keys have when Fn is pressed, you may have to look for the one that reads NumLk.

Num Lock key must be off. I can't log in using my 4 digit code. How do I turn on the Num Lock key? It is not marked.

It is one of the function keys, it will have a keypad symbol on it.
On my Toshiba it is the F11 key.
Try the Fn key + F11 key to enable the numbers, press the combination of key again to turn off Num Lock
