USB Problems! Hi, I am currently having "issues" with my Huke 2.0GB flash drive. When I plug it into the computer i go into My Computer and open it but when I do it says that it is not "formatted" and would you like to format now? You click yes as its the only option and then it works fine and you can load your files on, BUT as soon as you plug it back in(even to the say pc) it starts with the whole formatting process again and you loose all your data!!! What the hell is going on? Thanks Sean

How to install a USB flash drive

Just plug your USB flash drive into the USB port of your computer or other USB-equipped device and drag the files you want to take with you into the folder that appears on your screen. Your files are instantly transferred to your USB flash drive. To transfer the items on your USB flash drive onto another computer, simply plug your USB flash drive into the computer that you want the files transferred to, open the folder that appears on your screen, and drag the desired files onto the computer's desktop.

1.) Insert Flash Drive into the USB Port of your computer.

-Where is my USB port? It is usually found in newer model computers in a hidden compartment on the front of the hard drive and in the back of the hard drive on older computers. The port for laptops is found on the side or back of the computer.

2.) Wait for the hardware to automatically install on your computer.

After the hardware is installed, it is ready to use!

3.) In most cases, an Options Window will automatically open. Select "Open folder to view files" Click "OK."

I have a logitech flash drive that is not picked up by my computer when I slot it into the USB port - I went to my computer and checked under disk management but it is not even coming up under there - do I...

Hi.

USB flashdrives are usually all plug and play so you don't need any additional drivers for them.

Try plugging the flash drive into a different computer. If it works on another computer your USB slots maybe faulty.
If the flash drive is not picked up by another computer then the flash drive is probably faulty.

How do I use this product to save photos off my computer?

Hi,

Moving files from your computer to the USB flash drive is simple. Plug in your flash drive. Go to "Computer" or "My Computer". You should now see your flash drive show up under a drive letter, like E: or F: for example. Double click this drive letter and a window should open up. Alternatively, when you plug in the flash drive you may get a message on your computer with an option "Open/View folders and files". You can click this to open the flash drive window.

Now, go to the location on your computer where the photos are located. You can use your mouse, click and hold , drag the mouse over files you wish to move. Now that the photos are highlighted, you can click, hold and drag them to the flash drive window. Alternatively, you can right click on pictures and choose the "copy" option. You can then right click inside of your flash drive window and chose "paste". Either of these options will move the photos from your computer to your flash drive.

I do not know how to use a usb flash drive

Hi there,

Just plug in your usb flash drive to your computer's usb port. Once plugged in, your computer will detect it and should pop up a notification on the lower right corner of your screen saying that it has detected a new usb device. Now to view the files in your flash drive, RIGHT click your windows START button and choose Explore or open Windows Explorer. Then find under My Computer or Computer, then drive letter associated to your flash drive; click on it and it will show the contents on your right. To save files on your flash drive, just select for that drive location.

Hope this helps. Thank you for using FixYa.

L have forgotten how to use my USB to up music on it from ltunes.....when l plug it in to my computer it flashes for a few seconds and then nothing..not sure what l have to do ...l have tried finding it on...

Once you put the flash drive into the USB port, double click on the "my computer" icon. This will open up and show all available drives on your computer. The flash drive will have its' own drive letter. Once you log into i-tunes, when you go to save the file, make sure it goes to the flash drive. If your USB port is not recognizing the flash drive, try to do a system restore to a previous date. Try to go back at least 30 days (if you have created restore points on your system), then re-connect the flash drive and it should begin to install the proper drivers. If this is not your only USB port, try another one, if it is your only port, try plugging another USB device into it and see if it will recognize it.

Transfer from usb to micro sd

This mp3 player does not appear to have SD card support. In general terms, however, if you plugged a USB flash drive into one USB port of your computer, and then plugged an SD card into the SD card slot on your computer, you can then double-click "My Computer," and then double-click on "Removable Drive F" or whatever your computer is calling the USB flash drive. Then, open a second instance of "My Computer," double-click on the SD Card logo, and then drag files from the USB flash window, or to the SD card window as appropriate.

Another way to do this without opening a second instance of "My Computer," would be to open up the icon for the USB flash drive, right-click on the first file that you want to transfer, and then select "Explore." The window will then change - you will see the file or files you want to transfer on the right, and all available drives (including the SD card icon) on the left. Drag and drop from there.

Good luck!

Computer is not recognising the flash drive

Do other computers read the flash drive? If not, faulty drive. If yes, it may be recognized but you have Auto-play disabled. That's actually a good thing. Assuming this is a Windows computer that is at least XP or newer, open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) BEFORE connecting the USB drive. Then left-click on the My Computer item. The right side of the screen will display all currently recognized drives. Plug in the USB drive and watch the righ side of the screen. I'll bet a new drive will appear within about 45 seconds. If so, just double click on the new drive and you'll see all your "stuff". If not, you may have a faulty USB port.
