Question about Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player

1 Answer

Bad disk I put in a DVD to watch and I cant get it to play. At the top of my tv screen it says bad disk. I've tried switching to a different channel and I pushed several buttons on my remote and it still says bad disc and wont play

When I put a disk in, the screen says loading for about 30 seconds and then it displays bad disk. Every time. And afterwards when I try to open the player back up it says that it's opening but nothing happens. I have to turn on the DVD player and turn it off and then the thing opens up

The tv was giving as a gift in 2012. So I believe that I put the right model in. I was watching the tv and went to change the channel, when I noticed that the box with the channel number looked differ

Your symptoms point to the main board [the board with all the input connections], no simple fix, you must replace the board. Less likely the keypad is bad, just unplug the keypad and see if channel display stops popping up.

I am having trouble in connecting the new dvd recorder . I think ,I am missing some thing on the initial set up to receive the channels our present configuration is ... 1.R F cable input to set top box,...

I found your model information on a site which provided something I was going to ask you if I could not find it.DVD recorders need either a digital input from a cable box or a self-contained digital scanner(yours does not have this). So,you need to hook up as follows,External cable into cable box input, cable box output into DVD recorder input,DVD recorder output to TV coaxial cable input(usually labeled ant.)the screw on connector anyhow, you should know what I mean it seems. In this configuration, you should not need to turn on the DVD recorder to watch TV without recording because they usually have a bypass mode when there is no power on the DVD.If you have picture in picture(PIP),you should be able to use the main source to record and switch over to the PIP channel if you do not want to watch what you are recording.Do about a 10-30 second test of that just to make sure though so you don't end up all messed up.Oops.My bad...you do not have PIP.As long as the cable box is tuned to the channel you want to record, you should be able to use the TV's tuner to watch something else with no problem. When doing this on VHS recorders, sometimes the screen would get fuzzy and you would have to press the TV/VCR vutton on the VCR remote.I do not know if a DVD recorder will do it or not as I have yet to buy one,but when you do your test recording, you can mess around with whatever you want to see what happens so you will be fully prepared when you do it.If you need more help or have a problem/question,just comment here and I will get an autolink to your post and will reply ASAP.Good luck! I have a rca dvd recorder+vcr combo drc8320n i want to set up watching/changing cabletv channels on the dvd remote. i have tried buying universal remotes cheap& expensive but they no longer work on my

With cable input connected to "RF in"on rear of unit make sure vidoe input is set to "Tuner". This will show up on the TV screen. Change channels numerically or using up/down arrow keys on DVR remote. Note there is a slight pause between changing channels. You probably will have to "autoscan" for channel setup/etc. If you say your TV set is old; it probabaly is equiped with coax
connection only/set TV channel to "3" or "4". when yot opt to play vcr/dvd it will override your
cable channel selected. Hope this helps!

I need the universal code for my bush dvd player?

TRY THIS. It works on my Philips DVD player: To make some DVD players play disks from different regions. 1. Connect DVD to TV ensuring both are then switched on. 2. Press "OPEN/CLOSE" button on DVD player. 3. Enter "8421" using remote control. 4. While watching TV screen repeatedly press "Select" on remote control until region 9 is reached.  5. Press "OPEN/CLOSE".

T.V. shuts off when I try to play a DVD in the built-in player

Try putting in a VCR tape let it load and hit stop. If the set stays on it's the VCR deck causing the problem. It will be either be bad sensors or LED or possibly the mode switch. Let me know if this helps.

Can't re patch tv with set top box to watch tv

Hi.

Ok here goes.

1) Take airial lead from the wall socket in to antenna in on freeview box.

2) connect short usually black airial type lead in to antenna out socket on freeview. plug the other end of this lead in to aerial in on vcr.

3) connect the other end of this aerial type lead to airial plug on the back of tv.

4) now if you have 2 or more scart sockets on the back of tv set plug in the scarts in this order.
Freeview box scart with tv on it connect to scart 1 on tv set.
Freeview box vcr scart connect to vcr in scart socket on vcr.
Vcr scart marked tv plug scart from here to scart 2 on tv
If you have 3 scart sockets on tv you can connect dvd using scart to scart socket 3 on tv.

If Tv has only 1 scart the aerial leads will stay the same as I have stated,
Freeview must go to scart socket on tv set.
leave second scart from freeview to vcr plugged in so you can record freeview by putting vcr to line 1 or AV 1.
you will need to put tv on channel (0) & tune this channel to the video play a tape that you recognise then go to tv tuning & tune tv untill you see video playing then store this on channel (0).
DO NOT USE AUTO TUNING IT WILL PUT CHANNELS IN THE WRONG ORDER JUST USE MANUAL TUNING.

Now to view Dvd you will either need to purchase A scart switch box. Or have keep unpluging freeview scart from tv so you can plug in dvd .

If your tv has red yellow white phono sockets you can plug dvd in to these, you may need to purchase phono leads.

Hope this helps.
