It depends on the cycle you choose. Normal wash will bring the temperature to 120 F. Hi Temp Wash will bring it to 140 F. If you choose sani rinse it will maintain at least 155 F for 15 minutes.

My Roper washer will run through wash cycle then stops. Nothing will work for 40 minutes then I can put it on rinse then the cycle will complete. What could cause the stopping with nothing working then...

It could be that the machine is trying to heat the water in the drum, but is not able to for some reason. The timer is waiting for the water to reach temperature before advancing. Posssibly a broken heating element. This can happen even on a cold cycle as most machines prefer to heat all soaping water to about 30C regardless of the temperature setting.

Getting an f-24 code, saw the solution page but it doesn't describe where the part is located or how to replace it. I am wondering if there is a way to reset the machine by unplugging or a reset button...

Hi, F24 error code a water temperature sensor error or enought hot water to the washer.
check to see you have both valves are turned on. Also, the water inlet valve on the washer has a screen and it is known to get clogged and restrict water flow. Turn off the hot water valve. Pull the hot water hose off where it attaches to the back of the washer.
Even if you are getting good hot water flow, inadequate water temperature can cause an F24 error code. Check the temperature setting on your hot water heater. It should be set at 120 F. You should reach this hot water temperature at your washer within about 1 minute.
If you are getting a good hot water flow, you may one of the following failures:
1 loose or dirty connection at the temperature sensor or control board.
2 The temperature sensor could be out of range. Bad or shorted sensor
3 Control board failure.

The temperature sensor should have a resistance reading of 6.6k ohms at 104 degrees F and should drop in Ohms as temperature rises,
The temperature sensor is located at the back lower section of the tub with 2 small black wires. It would require a ohm meter to measure the resistance of the sensor.

I recently purchased an LG WM2301HW washing machine. I was wondering if this particular unit automatically controls the temperature of the water on a particular cycle or if the warm water needs to be...

page 22 of the user manual states that warm rinses are regulated at 86F (30C) it states that there is a heating element as well to boost the temp to normal hot water temperatures (90-100 C)

Bleeping dishwasher

Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

  • On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

  • On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

    F-23 error code

HOW TO FIX WHIRLPOOL WASHER F23 ERROR CODE What does F23 mean on whirlpool washer? It means there is a heater failure. If the water temperature in the washer fails to reach 86 degrees or higher then the washer will give the F23 error code. To fix the whirlpool washer f23 error follow the steps listed below.
Note: Some models do not have a heater as shown below, some models just have a temperature sensor. If your model does not have a heater just skip to checking the temperature sensor.
    1. First unplug the washer.
    2. Check the wiring to the heating element make sure its not burned, broken or corroded.
    3. Check the heating element for continuity of course if it does not have continuity then replace the element.
    4. Check the water temperature sensor wiring for corrosion or breaks.
    5. Remove the wiring harness from the temperature sensor and measure the resistance of the sensor. Refer to the chart below and if its out of range replace the sensor.
see link below for details and where to buy the part which is under $80 and fairly easy to replace
