When i try to ger outlook express to work it won't

In the Outlook Express folder delete Old.dbx change the file name from Old.bak to Old.dbx
Also, if this does not help, try as a last resort use a special software.
If not important, paid or free software, I can advise this Recovery Toolbox for Outlook Express: http://www.outlookexpress.recoverytoolbox.com/
But before you start worrying try another search solution in this forum: http://www.filerepairforum.com/forum/microsoft/microsoft-aa/outlook-express/395-something-wrong-with-outlook-express-how-to-fix-it

I used the JPG/RAW setting on my camera. Downloaded to PC. Tried to send all photos by Outlook Express. Files have been in the sending mode 2 days now (frozen I think). Cannot delete email. How do I cancel...

Cancel and delete the emails.

The chances are that you have exceeded the size that your mailbox can handle.

open one of the images and reduce its size using either Microsoft paint or some other graphics program.

Also don't try to send too many at once

Hope this was of help

Outlook express is trying to send a message with a lot of photos attached. It is unable to do this. How can I delete this message.

Hi,
If your Email is trying to send as soon as you start Outlook Express, you might try this:
Open Outlook Express and go to the top menu, click TOOLS then under that menu, OPTIONS. Under the GENERAL tab, uncheck the box for "Send and receive messages at startup", then click OK.
Close Outlook Express and start it up again. Hopefully this will allow you to delete the Email. Good luck!

Large file sent on Outlook Express immobilized my system

Hi

you should never even attempt to send such huge files, first of all that will take hours to send, and will most likely be rejected by the service, and as far as I know there is no email service that would allow to send such huge files, gmail, with the bigest storage I know, 7GB, has a 20MB limit on file sending.

You can't email that large file, burn it to a cd and mail it over.

Anything else?

Hi All

if you are running XP then open up explorer and go to

C:\Documents and Settings\*your user name*\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{65C0EAFC-BB65-4A91-A733-2B5FA75AFB49}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

then delete outbox.dbx (Make sure outlook express is closed)

I want to scan and email a document from my new HP DESKJET F4280 printer. I can scan it, and then I try to share it, but when I hit the send button it says there is no internet connection. Am I right in...

When you scan a document it must be scanned with OCR software. The default scanning method will scan a document as a picture, not a document with letters and words. The OCR software will recognize the letters and put the scanned document in the proper format to open it with MS Word. The software that you scan with should have a setting for OCR, read your instructions or help files to get the details if you can not find them very easy in the software you use for scanning. .

The problem with using Outlook may be that you have not set it up properly to get your emails from your email server. You do not need to use Outlook or Outlook express to send any documents, you can use your web based email server if you like, but you can use Outlook Express as well. You just need to add the document to send as an attachment to the email.

To set up Outlook Express to get your email, you must first find out what the POP3 and SMTP setting you must use. You can get that information from your email provider, it is different for every email provider. Then you go to the "File" menu at the top left of Outlook Express and select "Identities" and select "Add New Identity" and from there you will go thru a wizard to guide you thru the process of setting up your email client. Just make sure you have the POP3 and SMTP settings available for you to put into Outlook Express when prompted to in the wizard.

Outlook exp

there are so many back up softwares on Outlook Express. Feel free to find them on download.com - this is the automatic and easy way. e.g. Outlook Express Backup, Outlook Express Recovery etc.
The hardway -
Another way is to create a folder on your outlook and name it archive or whatever u want it.. this is where you put the old emails/ the not so important ones.. then after that find the folder where it stores the .dbx files. It's called Store Folder.. Then just copy it to another folder then delete that on your outlook express.
If you can't seem to get it.. just use the softwares readily available for use on download.com
