Actually your microsoft word needs some files to run properly .so when you open any file it search for required or necessary files to run your file..so just put the office 2003 cd into your cd drive....if it solves your problem its ok......but if not ,uninstall it from Add/Remove programs ,and again install your office 2003 ..this time it solve your problem..........................................enjoy

Did your computer come with Microsoft Word "preinstalled",
or do you need to reinstall Microsoft Office on your "refreshed" operating system?

How to open 2007 word document in 2003 word?

Hi there,

Two options.

One. Upgrade to 2007. A bit on the spendy side.

Two. All office products have the ability to Save their documents (etc.) in a format readable by previous versions.

I would ask your friend to open the file, save as a Word 2003 Document and resend the file. No expense, fast, easy.

Best regards
Mike

Cannot open email attachment in AOL incoming messages

try to download attachments first and then to open it, as AOL can not recognize extension in mentioned documents or it is preventing executable files from running directly on net.

Outlook 2007 will not start. Get Message: Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. And a big red X

Try this, sometimes you can get outlook to boot into safemode and then do a backup of your pst, uninstall outlook and reinstall, then import from your pst. Use User-Initiated Safe mode To start a Microsoft Office program in User-Initiated Safe mode:
default.aspx?assetid=za790050011033On the Microsoft Windows Start menu
  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to Microsoft Office.
  2. Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the name of the Microsoft Office program that you want to run.
default.aspx?assetid=za790050001033In the Command Prompt window
At the command prompt, use the /safe option when you start the program.
To stop User-Initiated Safe mode, exit the program then start it again normally.
What User-Initiated Safe mode does The following restrictions apply when you start a program in User-Initiated Safe mode. (Some items listed below do not apply to all Microsoft Office programs.)

why the .dot extension, it should be .doc. Better try uninstalling and reinstalling MS word or MS office package again.

MS word not responding

Rename all instances of your document template files (Normal.dotm or Normal.dot) This will prevent formatting changes, AutoText entries, and macros that are stored in the global template (Normalm.dot or Normal.dot) from affecting the behavior of Word and documents that are opened.

Renaming the template lets you quickly determine whether the global template is causing the issue.

When you rename the Normal.dotm template in Word 2007 or the Normal.dot template in Word 2003 and in earlier versions of Word, you reset several options to the default settings. These include custom styles, custom toolbars, macros, and AutoText entries.

When you try to start a Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2003 program, you may receive the following error message or an error message that is similar to the following:

Error 25090. Office Setup encountered a problem with the Office Source Engine, system error: -2147023836. Please open SETUP.CHM and look for "Office Source Engine" for information on how to resolve this problem.

CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:

* Two people installed Office on the same computer.
* Both installations were completed by using the AllUsers="" parameter to set the installation for the installing user account only.
* When both people were prompted to remove files that were copied locally at the end of Setup, both people did not remove the files.
* One of the two people removed Office.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, start the Setup program for Office. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Insert the Microsoft Office 2003 CD in your CD drive or DVD drive.
2. If the Setup program does not start automatically, locate the Setup.exe file on the CD, and then double-click the file to start Setup.
3. After the Setup window appears, cancel Setup, and then respond to the prompts to exit Setup.

Note: You do not have to complete the Setup program. Setup fixes the error condition when it is first invoked.

Missing cab file etc.

There might be a problem with your ms excel, some files are corrupted and therefore you are unable to open your files..so the best solution is that we can repair your ms excel
for this just goto control panel > Double click on Add Remove Program >select microsoft office > now you will see a option change > just click on it and select Reinstall or Repair' ,on next screen it will ask you for 'Reinstall Office' or 'Detect and repair errors in my office Installation', first go with ''Detect and repair errors in my office Installation, if it doesn't help you go with 'Reinstall Office' ...........

I hope you are satisfied with my support regarding your issue.
It will be highly appreciated if you could take a minute and provide me your feedback.
