Question about KitchenAid Microwave Ovens

2 Answers

Hello - On my KitchenAide dishwasher model nbr: KUDS01FLSS0 the cancel light blinks constantly and the rinse only light will come on and blink. Also it won't start even when the rinse light comes on. I have turned the power off, I have held down the cancel button for 4 seconds I have replaced one of the boards (buttons) and KitchenAide says they do not have any codes to reset except for turning the power off and holding down the cancel button?

Specific continuous blinking control panel lights often indicate that the buttons for those functions are 'stuck'. The Rinse Only/Quick Rinse indicator will flash if a key/button without an LED of its own or more than one button is stuck. In such a case replacing the control panel is usually necessary to correct the condition.

But if you see pooling water in the bottom of the dish washer. Make sure the dishwasher was able to drain out. Water backing up into the unit might also cause issues like this. For example, I knew someone that had just installed a new garbage disposer, they hooked the hose back up for the dishwasher drain, but did not remove the plastic plug in the GDU. Since the water couldn't drain it just backed everything up.

There isn't too much else it can be...the dish washer is largely a mechanical device. Very few things will effect the electrical but the control panel itself or flow control sensors.

Try pressing the programme button 4 times in quick succession. This work on some Kitchenaid.

If that does not work , the most likely is a faulty control board. When there is a different fault, the lights will temporary reset, and panel will restart blinking after starting the cycle.

Before replacing control board, inlet , pump, pressure switch, door and float switch must be tested.

    Hi.

The control board is for the model number provided.

The program button trick worked on some kitchenaid dishwashers, where the ordinary reset was holding down the program button.

If the rep told you that there is no other reset then there is none. You can try pressing four times the clear button, but I do not think this will work.

The timer board must be replaced after testing all other parts.

    My maytag dishwasher's "clean light"

If this is a Whirlpool manufactured dishwasher, the blinking clean light is an interruption in the dishwasher program that usually indicates a component problem or program malfunction. If a component is defective, it is commonly attributed to the heating cycle or thermostat related problem. To rule out component failure, or program error, the following link explains how you may be able to clear the blinking clean light problem and possibly avoid a service call:

    http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575752-dishwasher_blinking_clean_light

Keep in mind all dishwashers are not alike and have different panel options. If you do not have the same set up that I have mentioned, the tech sheet for your dishwasher will explain the touch pad functions. The tech sheet is located behind the lower toe panel under the door and lists the proper sequence of buttons to push for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Just remove the screws that hold the panel in place and remove.

NOTE: Sometimes the tech sheet is located behind the inner door panel. You will need to remove the screws securing the inner panel to access it if this is the case. Make sure you turn off the main power breaker before doing so.

In many cases, I found this to be a momentary glitch in operation. If the problem keeps reoccurring the number of flashes is an indication of WHICH circuit is causing your problem. As all dishwashers differ in operation and features, refer to your tech sheet for the recommended troubleshooting steps.

NOTE: Some dishwashers use the Sani-Rinse/Air Dry combination, some use the Sani-Rinse/Heated Dry combination. Some use a sequence of three, others use a sequence of 5 pushes of the buttons. If the tech sheet is not located behind the lower toe panel, it should be affixed somewhere under the dishwasher. I have also found them located inside the inner door panel.

I need to reset my Kenmore Elite dishwasher but i don't know how.

    Hello,

    follow the below instructions:

Unlock your Kenmore dishwasher control panel by pressing and holding the "Heated Dry" button for four seconds.

Press a series of four buttons in quick succession. Press "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" to instruct your Kenmore dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test

Wait for two minutes while your Kenmore dishwasher runs its diagnostic test.

Press the "Cancel/Drain" button once your dishwasher has completed its diagnostic test. This should reset your dishwasher control panel and stop the "Clean" light from blinking repeatedly.
    Good luck.

GE Spacemaker XL1800 my tenant says that she pushed ''a bunch of buttons'' and now the display says locked and the cancel button doesn't cancel this. also the little timer light in the corner is blinking....

Sounds like the child lock is on.

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.
