Error message OE on display screen

Hi

I have a LG washing Machine. Model number WD 10165FU. I am currently getting the error message OE on the display screen. I use the "Quick30 " function and when the cycle is moving onto the "Rinse and Spin" phase this is when the error message "OE" comes up. A technician has informed me that the impellers on the drain pump are loose and therefore the drain pump needs to be replaced as well as the motoe because it is sparking. I am not too sure if this is the case or not and I would like to make sure that this is a valid problem before outlaying any money on parts

SOURCE: LG WD-8013F wont spin

Hi deppgirl,
I checked the lint filter at the front bottom left hand side and it was full of junk.  Once emptied it worked a treat.  Pull the flap down and turn the large knob anti-clockwise and pull to remove.  Good luck.

SOURCE: "OE" error message appearing at end of rinse cycle before spin

on the front lower left there is a panel. Pry it open from the top. Unscrew the large black round cap. Be prepared for water to rush out. There is a trap to clean out. To the left there is a rubber hose with a plug in the end. Remove plug and see if hose is clogged. Clean it out. Replace and it should run. If not, try blowing through the discharge hose in the back to make sure all is clear. If not??

SOURCE: i have a problem with my LG Tromm front load

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

SOURCE: i have an LG 7.5kg

Hello there, Ok, first check under the lid, there is a peg that goes into the top edge of the washer. That is a switch. The idea between this is that it is a safety feature for mostly kids, so that when the washer is on that high speed spin cycle, that a child does not open up lid and stick there arm or hand in and have it injured. Most washer are designed so that the washer will only spin when the washing machine lid is down. So, of course you have it down, but sometimes the lid might have got a little bent or warped. So first try with lid down pushing down on lid while on spin cycle. If still wont spin, most likely it is that switch that that peg goes into, if you take a knife or flat head screw driver, with lid up on spin cycle and push into that hole with the knife or flat head screw driver and do not here a click when pushing it and releasing it, then you need to replace that switch, it is pretty cheep, normally under 20 bucks and a appliance store and when picking up the part they can tell you exactly how to replace it yourself, it is pretty easy and only takes a few minutes. Hope this helps. Mike Please select a 4 thumb up, if this helped you, and atestimony if you like. Also take advantage of fixya expert assistance live. OE error please

There may be a few different reasons why the OE error code can display on your washing machine. Is it the LG washer getting the OE error code? The OE error code on the LG washing machine display is an indication of a NO DRAIN issue. The 3 issues that may cause this fault code is a bent drain hose, the drain pump filter is blocked, or the drain pump may have foreign objects lodged in it making it unable to drain. All these issues can cause your LG washer to display the error code OE. With all these different reasons, checking all 3 components will clear the error and fix your LG washing machine.
