Refridgerator side is not cooling and freezer is wroking fine

1st i must get you to look for some symptoms look on back wall (inside) of freezer. Is there "sno-cone" type frost? yes? defrost problem. heater, defrost thermostat or defrost timer or adaptive defrost control. no? is fan running? is evaporator coil cold ,frosty? no fan but cold frosty coil(that's frosty but not frosted up) then bad fan motor probably. you need volt meter, and know how to use it. otherwise call a tek.

My food in my freezer is getting fuzzy with frost, why??

if thers warm air leaking into the freezer this will happen, but if the rear inside wall of the freezers covered with a icy/frosty covering too, this indicates a defrost problem, remove rear wall inside panel in freezer and defrost with a handheld hair dryer, then test the defrost heater and thermostats both located on the evaporator coil thats frosted over, its most likely one of these or possibly the defrost A.D.C. control

Frost buildup at back of bottom freezer department. Refrigerator should be frost free. Freezing impaired.

could be anumber of things happing, is the freezer fan spinning? if not ice will accumulate( also hamper cooling in the refrig section). perhaps a defrost issue, a bad heater or defrost thermostat could also cause, this/ may even just be the door being left open for extendedperiods of time( ie.. overnight, or hte gasket not sealing correctly) leading to a frost build up on rear panel

Fridge side won't cool down, but freezer is fine

very common freezer is where the cold starts then the fan pushes it to the fresh food side/ your air control adjust the tempt for you . the problems that cause your problem are frost build up o freezer coil . look in freezer for frost on back . listen for your fan when you open the door . if frosty the defrost system has failed and no fan no air flow . the freezer will have problems to . see what you can and get back with me .

Ice and frost

Excess frost especially near the door is caused by door gaskets being bad. The gasket should hold a dollar bill snug.
Another possibility is auto defrost failure. - Remove the cover on the rear inside the freezer to see if the coils are heavily iced.

Hotpoint frig, top freezer motor runs contiunally, thermostat set in middle of temp. control. side of frig stays cool all time.[does not get warm as it used to] is defrost thermostat bad or timer?

niether. is there frost on back wall of freezer? if no look behind back wall and see if there is frost on all the coils when running. if less than 80% is frosty...freon. or is there frost covering back panel..if so then defrost problem would be correct. but side would be warm so I think not.

Heavy Frost in Freezer

You have an air leak coming from the light switch in the ceiling of the freezer.  You will need to call LG for resolution on this problem.  I believe there is a fix for this problem.

Refrigerator is warm

This sounds like a low gas issue....assuming that you are not keeping your door open excessively or that the gaskets are not bad or dirty. The water line probably has no part in this.

First, check the gaskets. They must be clean and seal well. Defrost the box completely. Leaving it off for 2 days will do this or use a hair dryer with care after removing the freezer panel. Clean the condenser. Turn the unit on while observing the compressor...the big black thing with the pipes coming out. Look at the largest pipe. It will start to frost up. If the frost clears either to water or dry after 5 minutes of operation, gas is okay. Still frosty...get a service man.
