You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
If your network is secured then make sure that you are typing the correct network key.
also make sure that the DHCP server is enabled on the router.
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check all the wireless settings of the router.

Be sure that you have a valid internet signal getting to the router in the first place.
I tried running my incoming cable to a Cisco switch, and from that switch to the router. It appeared to work perfectly.
Well, that is until I tried to pull up a current website (news.yahoo...). The wireless connection to the laptop was Excellent and 4 bars strong, except there was no data included in that transmitted signal.
I may be wrong, but once I omitted the Cisco switch and cable right to the router, all was getting exactly what you'd expect. Current websites.
Hope this Helps. Jeffs_Dad

Connected wireless to router, excellent signal, but unable to connect to internet.

connected to wireless router with excellent signal may not means you are connected to internet. make sure your modem provided by internet service provider has signal! connect your computer to modem directly bypassing router. If you are online that means your internet is functional. Then connect modem to your Linksys router and use your wireless to log on to internet.
Your router wireless signal active and excellent means you are connected to router not necessarily the internet. The modem supplied by your internet service provider with active internet should be connected to you router on WAN port!
good luck!!

Power went out and now my router is working fine but the wireless PCs cannot connect. "Limited or no connectivity" even though signal strength is excellent. Tried cycling the router. no luck.

Access the router's setup page/configuration page and change the channel of your wirelessrouter to 1, 3 or 11. Make sure you know if the wireless encryption is ON and get the key.

LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY WITH AN EXCELLENT SIGNAL STRENGTH WITH TWO NOTEBOOKS

Wireless connection ...limited connectivity
If you connect the computer to the router , does it works? If the wired is on line that means the wired connection is OK.
Open the set up page of the router check the
wireless settings of the router.
I think your network is secured and you are not
typing the correct network key.
just open the router set up page and check the wireless settings.

Hi,

You have not configured the DHCP or manually allotted IP address to the system or possibly a wrong IP address. This is the reason for limited connectivity.

The light blinks when it scans for the wireless devices nearby and as well as for data transfer.

Samsung NC10 will not connect to any network

If WLAN and Wireless cards are enabled, then you may have to unplug your router for 10 seconds to reset it. They tend to build up a static charge. Unplug wireless router for 10 seconds, plug back in and you should be fine in a minute or two with full connectivity
