That model Samsung is included in the class actions settlement. The power supply boards that were installed had bad capacitors and Samsung has agreed to repair the units free of cost for parts and labor. That series of Samsung TV is covered by a class action lawsuit settlement over bad capacitors on the power supply board that were installed in those units. You can seal off those lines going around the door that's called the Yoder Loop. but as far as the class action lawsuit or getting Amana or Whirlpool to pay for the anything good luck. There are very few success stories there.

Aside from replacing the brain with another one identical to the one that died, which will most likely die again, you can do what the people mentioned below are doing.

Philips TVs **** - whoever said "Just buy a new power board fix ur tv" obviously works for Philips - again, Philips has horrible products that break and no customer service. Everyone that has ever purchased a Philips TV complained about it online. I wish I knew before I bought the piece of broken **** sitting in my living room.

Sounds like a generic problem you are having, get HP to change it for a different model if they will as you are entitled to under the consumers act.
