SOURCE: All our our Panasonic Split

The genset power most likely is 220V line to ground power. You utility power is 220V line to line but uses 2ea 110 VAC line inputs to get that 220VAC. The only way to correct this is to reconfigure your generator connection to 220V line to line IF possible. Some generators that only have a 220V output. Re-configuration is not possible

Measure power at the breaker on gen power as the source and again with the utility as the source. You will see the difference in voltages. Utility power.... each side of the Breaker output to ground = 110V across the 2 terminals 220V

Gen power one side of the breaker output = 220V other side = ZERO.

You can make it work but it would take some heavy duty relays in a power sub paenl so that when the generator is running one side of the power is 220V and the other side is Ground. Once utility power is restored the relays would disengage and power would again be 220 VAC line to line.

You will need a licensed electrician and a PERMIT to install a relay panel such as I mentioned above. Improper wiring of the power relay swtitching panel can cause major power problems in any given installation and trip the MAIN PWR breaker.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

SOURCE: do i need to install

Before you buy, you have to calculate the heat load of your room and as well as the temp to be maintained in that room. Basing on that, there so many engineers in sales counter of every branded air conditioner to recomand you the correct model. And I hope with same expansion valve you can get required temp.

Why won't my Carrier room A/C stop cooling?

TO MEASURE THE AIR TEMPERATURE AT THE SAME HEIGHT AS YOUR WALL MOUNTED UNIT & COMPARE IT TO THE REMOTE CONTROL SETTING. THERE CAN BE A 8 DEGREE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO. I HAVE TO TURN ON MY CEILING FAN TO CIRCULATE THE COLD AIR THAT DROPS AND THE WARM AIR THAT RISES.

GOOD LUCK

Hampton bay ceiling fan broke. How to screw it back up

It already looks like it's "screwed up". ( LOL) BEFORE BEGINNING READ ALL OF THIS FIRST< PLEASE> First turn off the breaker that supplies power to the fan. Take down the whole unit up to the ceiling mounts. It looks like the wood is broken that the screw bracket used to mount the fan is on. If it is you will need to reinforce the wood and rescrew the fan mounting bracket on it. THe ball carrier from the bracket should now be secure and ready to mount the swing ball of the fan at the top of the fan unit motor. Next rewire the fan to the wires in the ceiling with the wire nuts you removed. Tighten the ball screw and push the cover plate up to the ceiling, fastening it in place with the screws provided to the ceiling plate...Done!

Where is the filter on my actual unit? Have one in the ceiling is that the only one?

If someone has installed a filter return grill in the ceiling, then thats the only one you will have or need. Even if the original unit has a place for the filter, when an over head filter grill is installed, the installer will not put one in the unit as there is no need. Hope this answered your question and good luck!

I am installing a ceiling fan. There are 4 white wires and 4 black wires in the ceiling. Should all 4 white wires be connected to the white wire from the fan? and the same for the 4 black wires?

Generally, yes. If all 4 white wires are already connected together, that is a group of grounded wires. If all the black wires are connected together, that is a group of power wires. If you have more than 2 groups, something more is going on in that box and it is too complicated to guess which wire goes where from way over here.
