Question about HP DeskJet 3820 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Colour cartridge Hi, the colour cartridge was put in brand new. The computer kept coming up with a message saying that the cartridge was not compatible with the computer, yet it was the same cartridge number 78. I tried another one and this message came up again. We always use this cartridge, but these two new ones did look a little bit different that than previous ones. Help as we need to use these for work!!

I had the same trouble with a rebuilt cart from Staples, try HP brand or Nukote brand. Nukote cost less and work great for me!

My lexmark x3470 wont recognise compatible ink Cartridges any know of a way round this

If the ink cartridges you purchased are not Lexmark - that could be the problem. I used to have a Lexmark printer and I did the same thing - I purchased ink cartridges that were compatible but not Lexmark brand. Everything seemed fine until I tried to print and then I would get the same error sign and low ink message and it would not print. I kept thinking I was doing something else wrong and tried everything. In the end I broke down and got ink cartridges from Lexmark and that solved the problem. Now I have a Brother printer and I never buy anything other than Brother ink cartridges because I'm always afraid of that same thing happening again. I wish I knew which printers WOULD accept those non name brand ink cartridges, but thus far I do not know of any printers that do. Hope this helps you.

I have put compatable ink cartridges in my printer and a message comes up

Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled, re-manufactured or clone cartridges. Not only that you might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark but you'll never know if the cartridge will actually work with your printer or harm your printer.
I highly recommend that you replace your compatible cartridges with genuine Lexmark cartridges to get the best printing results.

No cartridge the printer say. i put new cartridge in

It mean that the black cartridge is not recognised. It the black cart is original or compatible? Some printer won't recognise cartridge, if the black and colour is not same type. Try to install the black only. Is it recognised?

Not really a solution....this HP Colour Laserjet CP1215 printer works only in a Windows environment and is not compatible with Mac Os so I had to get another one and got pretty mad with PC World 'adviser' (?!)  who'd recommended the HP printer!!!

INK CARTRIDGE PROBLEM Remove and check cartridge on the right Refer to documentation hp photosmart 2575 all in one

Take the cartridge out and rub the contacts with a piece of damp tissue paper and try again.
Check the contacts in the printer itself where the cartridge sits. If there is any damage or pin hole on the white ribbon with the gold contacts on it then the printer is unrepairable but it sounds like a cartridge problem. Try changing the cartridge as well
