Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player

1 Answer

Black Screen I was updating software on my ipod and a friend of mine walked by and thought my ipod had froze up so he reset it. When he reset it the screen turned black and it won't go away from that screen. We have tried to reset it, toggle the on off switch and reboot my computer and also try a different usb port. Nothing seems to be working. I have had this ipod for about a year. I currently have turned the ipod on and I am waiting for 24 hours or so to see if battery will run down and I will try to recharge it again. Can you tell me if you have any other ideas? I am at a loss. Thanks.

    Hi Mate,

I had the same problem with my ipod. You may have to wait longer than 24 hours for the battery to run out. However as soon as the battery is run down plug it into to charge and it should be working fine. Mine has completety died and I thought it would be clever to remove the battery. Big mistake as I have now broken the battery cable and require a new battery. As soon as the battery comes in I am going to run a diagnostic. Menu + Rewind after a reset to determine why I get blank screens.

    Good luck with your ipod.

Last nite i was playn a app off my ipod 2nd gen and it froze now it wont even cut back on wtf plez help or u can have it

if your Ipod is frozen you might just need to reset it. Just hold both the power and the home keys for about 10 seconds and the screen should go black. after a couple of seconds press the power button and wait for the unit to boot back up. you should be back at your home screen or logon if you have password protection.

IPOD touch Invalid argument error message

All you need to do is reset wi-fi network. Go to settings on ipod and go to network you normally sign on to. choose "Forget this Network". sign on to that same network. you will need your password. This will reset and you should be able to sign on.

Ipod nano 8GB 3rd generation FROZEN!

hi,

Firstly, don't worry about your ipod, i had the exact same problem with mine and with 3 of my friends here in athens!

Just leave it frozen untill it drains out of battery,
then try plugging it on your pc and leave it plugged for a while,
after doing that try to open it.

NOTE: my ipod opened after this step and worked properly.

If the ipod still don't works you can do the same as my sister did.
Take the ipod to your sales man and get a software update or replace it (if you are still in guarantee period)

Hope i helped,
Looking forward to hearing from you for further assistance!

installed.

â Reinstall iPod and iTunes software from the latest versions on the web.

I turned on my Ipod nano and it froze..

Refer to your manual for the details - A simple reset will probably work. Running Mp3 players on low batt can cause all sorts of goofiness.

MP3 player is "frozen"

Hi jeweleye.....The procedure for resetting your nano is to simultaneously press and hold Select and Menu instantly. On your nano, it can be tricky to instantly complete this command at the precise same moment, so it might require a few tries......please update your post with your progress and/or further issues........good luck my friend
