Question about HP NB199UA Pavilion Notebook
When I plug in my hp pavilion laptop, it will only charge to 53%, then it stops charging.
This is a matter of battery ..probably it is a modular one ..and it has some modules that has expired ..and the software that display and measure the battery status..is st to see a certain value in the batteries voltage and amperage to display full... so if one of the modules will not charge anymore..it will work ..but it is practically like a half full battery ..the way to fix is to buy another one ..compatible..
be sure you formatt it right when you first use it ...follow the instructions or make a search on google about formatting the li-based batteries cause this is the main cause for this to happen ..
