The bit holder resides in the clutch housing which has a collar with a ball bearing that the notch in the bit holder snaps into. It would seem that the ball bearing has slipped out of the cooler on the clutch housing, therefore nothing is locking it into placed. If you need a diagram, let me know.

Hello. If the bit keeps falling out you will have to replace the chuck. Whenever I have to do this I send my gun into a Dewalt Service Center. Here is the link to all of the service centers

Why does the motor run when I do not pull the trigger of the gun after the high pressure washer is turned on? The motor is supposed to run only if the trigger of the gun is pulled and shuts off when the...

When water is running through system, the motor has to run to keep the pressure built up. So, if the water is leaking out, the motor think it needs to keep running to keep the pressure built up. The leak needs to be fixed to the motor will not run constantly.

After inserting the bits into a Hilti TE76P, should the bits be able to move in and out about half an inch? The tool works fine, and the bit stays in place, but I noticed it moves like that.

Yes, the bit should have about 1/2" to 1" of free movement in and out when the gun is not running but should not be able to fall out of the gun when pulled on.

I keep reading how my Porter Cable FN250B has a quick release nose to clear jammed nails, but I cannot figure out how to open it.

My fn250b has a small tab/lever just below the nail feeder (with no nails in the gun the lever will be just below the nail pusher). Push on the lever with your thumb and the nose will open. This lever is held in place with one screw. If the tab/lever breaks off at the screw or if the screw falls out the lever and its spring will fall off and the front nose will just be loose/ nails will be pushed out. If someone rigged a part to keep the nose closed, you can order the correct parts at www.toolpartsdirect.com. Not really needed however because the gun does not jam that often. Good luck

Every time I load my easy shot 5650 stapler they fall out the end they are supposed to shoot out...why is that ??

The way you load this staple gun is: (1) turn it upside down (2) press the unlock tabs on the rear end of the loading slide trey and pull it back (3) droup a row of staples into the slot w with the pointed end facing up, while keeping the gun upside down, push the spring loaded slide tray forward until the locking tabe engauge. (4) turn the gun rightside up (away from you), and fire it. the stape should come out normally, the rest should not fall out.

No, you didn't do anything wrong...

Paintballs come in a variety of sizes. That difference is very hard to see with the naked eye, but your barrel knows what fits and what doesn't. Players have a choice in barrels and ID-internal dimensions, so the balls are various sizes as well. You will have to sample a few brands and see what works best for you.

Good luck!

Need to know how to operate milwaukee screw gun?

I hope you're talking screw gun and not drill/driver. Screw gun used specifically to set screws in drywall. Make sure you have proper tip in gun (usually #2 phillips). There should be a rotating collar on the gun to control screw depth. The screw should only "dimple" the drywall. It should not tear the paper but should be below the plane of the drywall. To check depth run a putty knife over the screw heads. If you hear it hit, screws need to go a bit deeper. To work quickly; lock the trigger on and place the screw on the gun. Apply steady pressure and let the screw walk into the board until gun breaks free. Takes a bit of practice but pretty soon you'll be flying.

How does the adjustable depth drywall bit work? The bit inside keeps spinning and does not drive screw into sheetrock?

It's not the tip, but the screw gun itself. The screw gun has a clutch on it that allows you to set the screw at different depths. You must adjust the screw gun to the desired depth. The deeper you want the screw to go, the less the clutch will slip.

The bit in my Stanley ratchet screwdriver does not lock into place, falls out when screwdriver is pointing down

There is a small springs steel wire that fits into the chuck. the bit slides into the chuck and then into the spring and the spring holds the bit inside the chuck. This ring seems to be missing. Thus the bit falls out. You might try going to a hardware store and they make a device that is two magnets held together with a rubber band. When they are together there is a small hole in the center. You can slide any screwdriver or bit into the hole in the center and it magnetizes the bit or driver. Magnetizing your bits should keep them from falling out of the ratchet screwdriver.
